Unquestionably one of Honua Kai's best values, Konea 408 is a rare 2BR/1BA suite that offers the space and privacy of an additional bedroom without the price tag of a standard 2BR/2BA. Enjoy beautiful partial ocean views from its spacious lanai, as well as those of the lush West Maui Mountains.
When it's time to rest, the gentle Maui breeze will lull you into deep slumber in the primary bedroom's king-size bed. The second bedroom closes off completely from the living area with custom-installed French doors, a flat panel TV, and a split king-size bed that can be converted to two twin-size beds upon request. A unique benefit of the den is that it offers ocean views and natural light versus its fraternal twin in the neighboring "06" stack, which does not.
If needed, the sectional in the living area can be converted to a queen-size bed, bringing the total sleeping capacity to six. The living room and primary bedroom also offer flat screen televisions if you want to catch a movie or your favorite show while you drift off.
We encourage you to express your culinary creativity in the well-appointed kitchen. The space is fully equipped with stainless steel Viking appliances, a built-in wine cooler, and granite countertops, and we have provided all the cookware and utensils for you to prepare the perfect meal or refreshment... just bring the ingredients.
Enjoy your meals on the spacious lanai or dine indoors in the climate-controlled air conditioning. In addition, our commercial-grade Vitamix blender lends itself well to preparing creative libations or smoothies with fresh local produce.
Take pleasure in spending your days at the resort’s three-acre aquatic playground. With four separate swimming pools, a waterslide, waterfalls, fountains, and four hot tubs, there will be no shortage of options for you and your loved ones to enjoy.
When it is time for a bite to eat, Honua Kai is home to the popular Duke’s Beach House, which serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails. Duke’s specializes in serving up Hawaiian-inspired cuisine using locally sourced ingredients and freshly caught seafood. Should you wish to enjoy a refreshment by the water, poolside service is available. For coffee, sandwiches, and other grab-and-go items, including beach gear and souvenirs, visit the Whalers General Store conveniently located in the Konea Tower lobby.

Great unit in Honua Kai. The views were nice and it was quiet. It was a good amount of space for four people. We appreciated the beach gear available for our use. The beds were not very comfortable. The outdoor furniture was in bad shape with lots of sharp plastic pieces splintering odd. Those things could use an upgrade. Maui Resort Rentals was great. Very responsive and helpful when we needed them.
This condo was perfect for my family of 5 (2 teenagers and an 11 year old). The condo was a great fit because both rooms have a king size bed, in addition to the pull-out couch. Even though the description of the condo says partial view, we found the view of the ocean perfect! We could wake up every morning and enjoy our coffee out on the lanai and see the island of Lanai and the ocean skies perfectly, when facing directly toward the ocean. This was our second stay at Honuai Kai Resort, and the reason why i continue to book here through VRBO is because all of the pictures of every condo on the property is actual pictures of each condo. You know exactly what you are booking. The grounds are well kept, the pools and hot tubs are nice, and we love having Dukes onsite. Would stay here again!
Great property and central location! Clean, lots of space, very responsive management team that helped with whatever we needed. Fit our family of 6 comfortably and loved the cooler and beach chairs that was there for our use. Pools are great but not a lot of lounge chairs so they go quick. Pictures originally showed a one bedroom and den but there was actually two bedrooms (second room had a large king bed instead of sofa shown in picture which worked out even better for us!). Check in was quick and easy too! Will definitely stay again!
We really enjoyed our condo. Loved the lanai for morning breakfasts. The extras such as beach chairs and cooler were greatly appreciated and we used them everyday. The den area was great for my teen, she had her own space to herself.
Fun family friendly getaway All excellent. Couple things to note—while it does technically have a partial ocean view, it really is more mountain/common grassy area view. Well equipped for basic cooking. Washer/dryer in unit a plus. The property mgt team (Maui resort rentals) was outstanding with communications and customer service. Would definitely stay again, but at a less peak time (non holiday) as pricey during Christmas.
Beautiful place and location. We always stay at Honua Kai when visiting Maui, and this unit was great. Well equipped kitchen and baths. Loved having the den for extra space. Only recommendation to owner is so replace the old, uncomfortable spring mattress in the Den sofabed. Or add a mattress topper. Otherwise, all was perfect!
