Hono Kai C10 is a 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom, 3rd-floor condo that offers tropical views from your private lanai, high-vaulted ceilings, and ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom. This property does not have elevators. Unit C10 can accommodate up to 4 guests. The master bedroom is separated from the main living area with lovely Hawaiian-style plantation shutters and has a king-size bed, which can be converted into 2 twin beds upon request. A queen-size sofa sleeper is available for extra guests in the living area that is also equipped with a flat-screen, cable, TV. The en suite bathroom has a walk-in shower stall with an opaque glass divider. The well-stocked kitchen is convenient for making meals in-house. This condo stays cool with 1 wall A/C unit that is located between the bedroom and main living area.
Hono Kai is a beachfront property where you can enjoy a 6-mile stretch of beach with views of Haleakala and Kaho'olawe, an oceanfront pool, and BQQ areas. Additionally, there is a coin-operated laundry facility for your convenience. Hono Kai is located at Ma'alaea Bay near many attractions, shops, and restaurants. Walk to the Aquarium, enjoy exciting activities from the nearby harbor, play miniature golf and more at Maui Golf & Sports Park, or shop at the Maui Harbor Shops. Ma'alaea is located in central Maui, bringing you closer to either side of the island. There are no resort or parking fees.

Centrally located on island. Quiet neighborhood. Great value.
I like the property but, only 2 convenient stores and they close at 8pm, Ubers take for ever to come by and if you want to go downtown it’s about a 25min drive to get to local stores and shopping centers.
Great place for a vacation in Maui
Great quiet location a driveway from shops and restaurants.All in all, it was “perfect” for us but could use some TLC. We’d absolutely stay here again, as it is.I had a full list of pros and cons but VRBO made me revise my review for I know reasons
We had a great time - it’s hard not to in Maui! The unit is very dated. Needs several updates. However, had what we needed. Location was not our favorite. Management company was great.
We had a wonderful week in Maui. This condo is located very close to Ma'alaea harbor and there is a small public beach access in easy walking distance. The apartment itself was clean and worked fine for our needs. The unit is a bit run down and shows signs of age and wear and tear (furniture, trim, broken screen/room divider), but it was comfortable and quiet and wasn't an issue for us. We appreciated the camp chairs, snorkel gear, and umbrella that were in the unit, as well as the fan and AC unit. There had been a storm a few weeks before we arrived that damaged several palm trees near the pool and caused damage to the sea wall. They were actively repairing that while we were there and it didn't cause any issues with our stay. You are not able to swim in the ocean directly in front of the condo due to rocks and the sea wall, but we could walk a short distance over the rocks and down to sand. We loved walking along the beach stretch in the morning as the sun came up and we were able to see many whales in the water. Be aware that the available parking in the lot is very narrow and limited, so larger vehicles will have trouble parking here. We were in a full size car and were very glad that we didn't have anything larger as the parking spots are very narrow. We ended up parking outside of the lot on the street one night because someone parked too close to their line and made the spot next to them impossible to park in.
My family and I had a wonderful time. The condo was comfortable and the beach was right at the doorstep. We are already looking forward to our next vacation stay in Ma'alaea!
The only potential drawback is that the mattresses (both queen bed and sleeper sofa) are very, very soft and saggy. Not great for people preferring a firm mattress.
Great place, great view. Only downside it is a bit of a ways out to get to grocery stores.
Perfect location - both in the sense of a base to get to other areas of the island as well as a location in itself. Nice long beach to enjoy morning walks on. Condo had all we needed for the 2 1/2 weeks we stayed - including blender for those fresh island fruit smoothies every morning after our walk. Plus loved having the extra hooks on the bathroom and bedroom doors.
We decided to try a condo instead of a hotel. Great decision, we were in a great location and had everything we needed. The had snorkel gear, beach chairs an umbrella and towels for us to use. We had a great experience. Recommend
Easy to check in and check out. Many supplies to use, very convenient. Great space and home feeling.
