Yes our host Howard was very welcoming via text and came over to say hello. Nice place to stay and perfect location for Road to Hana and Hookipa Beach
Really nice a quiet area.
Everything was perfect!
This is a nice option for the area it’s in — clean and comfortable and quiet. The common areas are quite nice, and the private space was roomy. It was nice to have the kitchen, though we used only the refrigerator. The only drawback is that there is little recreation on that side of the island, compared to the tourist-heavy west side. You need decide which is important to you.
The property was clean, good breakfast, and amazing sunset and sunrise views from the deck.
Wonderful location
This was a great location and stay for the one night we needed to begin our road to Hana trip. The shared kitchen provided a convenient area for coffee and a light breakfast. There were a decent amount of bugs/spiders in the bedroom and bathroom, and lizards in the kitchen area, but I guess that's to be expected for this area. We had dropped an airpod in the driveway and the host was kind enough to message us and arrange for us to pick it up on the way back from Hana. We enjoyed our stay here.
All good
The online pic depicted a beach , but appeared to be photoshopped. Never saw owner/manager. Had trouble with frt door. Saw 4 lizzards / gheko inside. Wife wouldn’t use shower after seeing 6-7 spiders. Bed was very comfortable.
Great little B & B. Great breakfast options. Easy check in!
We had a beautiful stay at North Shore Maui. A steady breeze from the ocean and the quiet lulled us to sleep. We had everything we needed and wanted provided. It is beautifully decorated, comfortable and spanking clean. We would be delighted to stay there again in the future.
Beautiful grounds and views from lanai. Lovely furnishings and art pieces. Good breakfast supply. Comfortable bed. Peaceful. Easy to rest and de-stress here! Good instructions and communications from our host. Would come again!
Beautiful house, full kitchen and living area access. Our room was lovely, with private deck. Ocean view. Howard was so helpful and responsive. Quiet home, near variety of restaurants. And yet close to airport. Hope to stay longer next time.
We were here for only one night but could have easily stayed more. This was our second time here and it has been wonderful both times. Owners are nearby but give you ypur own space which is wonderful!Nice quiet property and a great tropical feel. Love the lanai area and also the kitchen area and meal options.with places to keep pur own food cold and fresh. Would definitely stay again!
We spent two days in Haiku at North Shore Maui. We picked the location because it was near our son's home. It turned out to be a great place to stay and enjoy our time. The rooms were clean, the bed comfortable. The joint areas like the kitchen, living room and porches were well supplied and comfortable. We met several other guests while there and everyone we met was welcoming and kind with a story to tell. Mahalo!
Great place to stay.
Relaxing
House has 3 bedrooms, 1 on each floor. There was a couple in each of the other bedrooms. Bedrooms have a/c window units, top room apparently undersized and was told it was hot. House was hot when we arrived around 7 pm but our room on main floor cool. Make your own breakfast
ideal BnB in a beautiful spot in Haiku. property is situated in a private location surrounded by tropicals & a wonderful ocean view. perfect stay to head to Hana, upcountry Kula or Makawao. and just minutes away from Mama's Fish House. Property host, Howard is very hospitable. property is private & tranquil.
Loved the arrangements - having breakfast provided our first few nights on Island was such a help! There’s little cell service so make sure you have check-in information saved somewhere.
Second time staying here and really enjoyed our stsy
Beautiful property with all the basics needed after long days exploring the island. Did not interact with hosts - they were respectful of the guests and gave us all space. Close to the mountain for sunrise/sunset views and right at the start of the road to Hana. Fun to chat with other travelers in the shared space. We loved sitting out on the lanai in the evening and morning. Comfortable bed.
We only stayed here for one night after doing the Road to Hana and had to leave to the airport the following day. Wished we would have stayed here longer! The house is shared with other guests, which was no problem at all. The common areas (kitchen, living room and balcony) were clean and decorated so beautifully. The breakfast options were a great touch as well. I read one review about the disappointment of waffles being Eggo waffles. Who cares, it is complimentary and you don't have to eat it if you don't want, no need to compain about it! The rooms/common areas had everything (if not even more) than you can ask for! I would definitely come back and recommend this property to anyone!
It was a one night stay for us. We were a bit disappointed to find out the waffles were Eggos, but otherwise the home is beautiful, clean, has everytning we needed and had amazing views. Loved our stay.
Clean, easy to check in, has good ac in room 2, and so easy to get up and beat the crowds on Road to Hana. Nice view of ocean in the distance. Lovely open living room and kitchen. Big shared fridge to keep your cooler items and freezer for ice packs. Basic continental breakfast. As soon as we checked out I thought we should have just stayed here two nights instead of staying in Hana. This way luggage would have been safer in our room and not in our car for the drive. Plus, it was a much nicer place than where we stayed in Hana. If we did Road to Hana ever again I would absolutely stay here.
Felt lucky to find this B&B for 1 night during our Maui holiday. Clean and beautifully appointed rooms and shared spaces with equally appreciated views and landscaping. We stayed in Room 2 which is just off main kitchen and living area which could theoretically be loud (but wasn’t for us) and had its own door and space on the lanai. Plus a window next to the bed we left open all night enjoying a refreshing breeze and bird song in the morning. Liked the self serve breakfast we could enjoy on our own time. Would definitely return.
We only had a one night stay here, but wish it could have been more! The property & home are beautiful and quiet and the views of the sunrise from the lanai were incredible! There was plenty for breakfast and we felt very taken care of and comfortable. We’d love to come back with more friends next time and rent the whole house!
A beautiful and relaxing place to stay. The property is calming and gorgeous.
This property is an oasis from the moment you turn onto the driveway. The wrap around lanai gives you unobstructed views of the ocean, surrounded by lush greenery. Extremely private and quiet, this rental is perfect for a relaxing getaway while still being 15 min away from downtown Paia. The house has 3 units and a communal kitchen that is stocked for a self serve breakfast. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a rejuvenating and peaceful stay on Maui.
Beautiful place
Only stayed one night after flight in. Was dark when we arrived but was super easy to find. Loved the view from room as sun cane up. And so happy we are going back to stay our last night on the island and spend more time at the wonderful B & B.
This B&B and is very nice and private. Very clean, relaxing and peaceful. We will definitely be back.
The space was very well designed! Common area was open, big kitchen, and nice balcony. Was just as expected, comfy bed, and beautiful view! Bagels, yogurt, coffee and other food was provided.
This stay exceeded my expectations by far! The property was gorgeous with lovely ocean views. Having breakfast provided (eggs, yogurt, waffles, bagels, fruit, coffee) made the morning easy and relaxing. The bed was comfortable. The rooms were quite and secluded from other guests. Highly recommend!
Excellent stay!
Lovely house with broad view of ocean beyond. Lush grounds and long driveway result in an oasis in the palm trees away from human and road traffic. Room was clean, well supplied and had separate access to lanai, which was delightful. Bed and "breakfast" is a bit of a stretch, as the Eggos, bagels and eggs were self-cook-serve and self clean up. Coffee and tea provided; some juices would be a nice addition. Only other suggestion would be to refresh towels and take out room trash every other day or so. Owner is on-site in a separate house and accessible if needed. VRBO "x-ed" out the street address and access code in the manager's email to us with access information, resulting in a process of hunting for the right house in an unfamiliar area -- not the fault of the manager, but VRBO. Luckily, when we arrived and were contemplating whether we had the right place, the owner, Howard, came out and greeted us warmly and showed us the home. He later provided all the information we needed (as well as excellent dining recommendations nearby), but it would've been better if VRBO had not blocked the numbers in his email. All in all, a delightful stay at a beautiful, clean property.
A very peaceful and lovely property away from the bustle of resort areas. Shared kitchen provided a nice opportunity to interact with other visitors.
Just so lovely! The views from every room are just beautiful. The kitchen is really well equipped, the bedroom and bathroom are everything you would hope for on holiday - spacious, clean and so comfortable.
This property was a surprise. I didn’t expect it to be as nice as it was with an amazing secluded location. And I have to give a special thanks to the housekeeper who got our room ready so we could check in early.
Great one night stay in a clean and comfortable room of a shared home near the start to the road to Hana. It’s also convenient to the OGG airport. The house was fabulous with a large common living room, open porch to views of the ocean and gourmet kitchen. It was a peaceful location from the more hectic and pricey areas of Maui. We met two other couples from the Midwest with common interests and shared our experiences. We would have loved to extended stay had we better understood the setup and location of this VRBO.
