Our villa is furnished in a casual tropical island theme with all new wide plank flooring throughout. This 3 bedroom villa is ideally located, just steps away from the pool. Our Hawaiian style townhouse is very large, has an 10-ft living room ceiling, and has no one above or below. We furnish free high speed WiFi, 3 flat screen TVs, and a DVD player. In our well-equipped kitchen you can grill fresh fish from the local market and even enjoy farm fresh fruits and vegetables from the nearby Kona Farmers' Market. Brew a cup of 100% Kona coffee and enjoy the variety of world-class restaurants on the Kohala Coast.

The Fairway Villas is a private, gated complex in the exclusive Mauna Lani Resort. It is on Hawaii's Kohala Coast with the Big Island's best beaches and weather. The Fairways Villas is set among 22 acres of tropical landscaping and palm trees, and is right next to the 10th fairway of the Mauna Lani Resort Golf Course. You can also play tennis, work out in the air-conditioned fitness center, or relax at the tropical pool.
The Mauna Lani Resort is a world class resort located on the Kohala Coast, 19 miles north of the Kona Airport. It is designed around the beautiful Mauna Lani Beach with a white sand beach, two 18 hole golf courses, the Marketplace with many fine restaurants, a variety of shops, and a gourmet grocery store.
Within the Mauna Lani Resort, the private crescent-shaped beach offers a pristine white sandy beach with plenty of sports activities and rentals, as well as shoreline paths, a green sea turtle refuge and ancient fishponds, Nearby at the Fairmont Mauna Lani , you can enjoy several world class restaurants.
Explore the Puako Petroglyph Archaeological Preserve which has informative free tours. Take a hike through rainforests, ride a horse to hidden waterfalls or fly over an active volcano by helicopter. Great place to stay on the Big Island
Great place and house was a great location…we enjoyed our stay and the chairs came in handy at the beach!
Had a great week! Perfect family friendly villas. Pool and hot tub were a fun place to hang out when not spending time at the private beach club or black sand beach.
Great unit in a wonderful complex. Pool is spectacular. Unit was well equipped especially with everything you need for the beach. Check in instructions were easy and clear. Fantastic stay.
The photos of the place were accurate and although not clearly stated, the pass to the private beach at Mauna Lani is included. The kitchen is well stocked which was amazing and laundry detergent and dryer sheets were provided for the entire time of our stay---none of the other Mauna Lani properties weve stayed at were as well stocked at this villa! The owner was very responsive and attended immediately to all our communications with him. Great pool and hot tub and if you have younger children, this place is awesome as the pool is just across the unit. Although our time there was short -- 4 nights--- we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Will definitely come back again.

Our group of 7 enjoyed our stay at this condo. It is backed up against the pool area which was very convenient. Pool area hours 8a-9p. Hot tub/spa for those ages 8 and older. Short walk to Holoholokai Beach Park for sunsets and walking along the beach.Per the Fairmont Villas property, only 1 parking spot allowed per condo (garage not available for use). Our group of 8 had rented 2 cars and we ended up getting warnings on our cars, despite only about 30% of parking spaces being occupied. Lock pad at front door would be a great upgrade to the unit instead of 1 key.We had communication problems with the condo owner, but it was a glitch on VRBO and not the owners fault.The hallway walls going upstairs could use a good scrub or paint job.Overall we found this VRBO to be a great value and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
This is a wonderful place to stay! We were celebrating our 25th anniversary. The villa is sparkling clean! Lots of kitchen items, beach towels and a CLOSET FULL of beach items! Snorkeling equipment, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, and even a cooler. There is a high chair and pack and play for babies. We utilized the beach club area in the resort and it was wonderful! Great place for kids and for snorkeling. This is located in the Gated community in the Mauna Lani resort. Short distance to a small grocery store and shopping. We enjoyed this Villa so much! The ONLY downside is that we couldn’t rent a golf cart due to not having access to the garage and a vehicle can’t park in the driveway overnight. We already had a rental car and couldn’t take up another parking spot. That was the neighborhood rule, not the owners. The swimming pool is directly behind the villa and listening to the waterfall of water into the hot tub was so relaxing! 10/10 recommend this villa. It is a great, quiet place to stay and will likely return!
Lovely quiet condo nestled between resorts.
This condo is in the perfect spot! It is beside the pool, on the gate side, such that we could let the kids use the pool and still watch them from our lanai. And because we needed the key to get both in and out of the pool area, we could just throw it over the fence to whoever needed it at the moment. The HOA folks are friendly and accommodating, and there is easy parking. The one downside is the gym room, which is very small, has to be booked in advance, and can only accommodate one person or family at a time.

Property was acceptable, however, the master bath toilet leaked. We reported it the furst day we were there and it wasn't fixed until wr had one day left. We were forced to use the half bath toilet. I would think some sort of refund should be in orderThe entry key set up was very inconvenient. A door combination pad would be much better
The Fairways at Mauna Lani is a lovely complex in a great location, and we stayed there in 2 other units previously. However, this property does not meet the standard set by the others. Guests are denied access to the garage, so there is no space for bikes or other sports gear. The property is in great need of maintenance and TLC. For example, the vertical blinds are broken or missing vanes, the horizontal blinds do not raise, the master bedroom patio door can be unlocked with just a jiggle, the unit smelled very stale (dishwasher issue?), the floors were dirty, the lanai table and counter were filthy. The on-island manager was unresponsive to our requests, though did eventually send someone to clean the toilets. Also, the propane ran out on the second night of grilling fish, and the second propane bottle was empty. There was only 1 key provided for the pool and complex entrance, where other units had at least 2; we found this very inconvenient. In summary, I cannot recommend this property.
Property was clean and had everything you could need for a comfortable stay, pool & spa were located right behind the property—2 beaches are close by and lots of shopping and coffee shops nearby as well!

The house was exceptionally clean had everything you could think of to cook with or need. It is located right next to a grocery store that has absolutely everything you could possibly need as well. The pool and hot tub is right off the porch! The private beaches are a extra bonus. We would stay here again!
Very nice and comfortable property, Perfect for a family. It is a very quiet and low key community. It was nice to enjoy some quiet time away from the larger resorts. The private beach area was wonderful and we never had an issue getting chairs. Jim’s condo is fully stocked with all the necessary kitchen and beach items.
Our family of 3 adults, 4 kids and a baby had a wonderful stay here! We thought the location was nice and central. It was only 30-40 min to Kailua and a little over an hour to Hilo. Hapuna and Mauna Kea beaches were just down the road. It is so close to the pool you can watch people play from the patio. Everything was just as described and Jim was very quick to answer all my questions. There was a pull out couch but our boys decided to use the really nice air mattress instead. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook many meals. There was even some spices and oils left from other guests that were nice to not have to purchase. There was an abundance of items to use for the beach—chairs, umbrellas, toys, snorkel stuff, and boogie boards. The house is in a very lovely quiet area. A small but well stocked grocery store is 5 min away. The Mauna Lani beach club was lovely and the water was nice and calm. The walk through the fishponds was beautiful. I would definitely stay here again with my family!
The condo was perfect for 5 of us and we loved all the beach gear (chairs, umbrellas, etc) that were available for use. Jim was very responsive and we would definitely stay here again!
The home is in great shape and the neighborhood is really nice. Pool is just out the back door and wasn’t crowded. Private beach is worth a visit.
This was our third trip to the Big Island and third stay in Mauna Lani. The property was well appointed and had lots of great stuff for us to use at the beach to make things easier and more comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and we loved being so close to the pool for nightly swims. One huge advantage of staying in Mauna Lani is access to the beach club, which we visited on three separate days during our stay. The snorkeling is fabulous and we love the protected cove. But it’s also close to some other great beaches. The owner left great instructions for us to get to the property and get in. Would definitely look to stay here again if we go back to Kona.
Amazing private beach, great pool, nice house.
This was a great homebase for my time in the area. Jim was a wonderful host, very thorough in all of the instructions and the villa was exactly as pictured and described. Comfortable, well-appointed, and very home-y. Thanks for everything, hope to return sometime!
