Property Overview
Our lovely second floor studio unit now provides A/C. We've installed a high-velocity ceiling fan that seems to do the trick when AC isn't needed! The covered lanai has a view of the mountains and lush tropical plantings. Free, limited, unassigned parking spaces are included with your rental, so try to arrive early to secure a spot.
Our studio is decorated with furniture in the Hawaiian and Asian whimsical style including a lovely rooster who doesn’t crow and wake you in the middle of the night! You’ll find a bistro table and chairs, if you’d like to eat on the lanai. We offer you a comfortable King size bed with fresh, crisp linens.
We provide Spectrum cable and internet and an LG TV for relaxing after your days of exploring, shopping or enjoying the many beautiful beaches. The TV is mounted on the wall at the foot of the bed. We provide dedicated wireless internet, along with 2 large power strips to charge your various electronics.
The studio has a private bathroom with a roomy shower. The vanity area is separate from the bathroom. The deep, stainless sink also serves as a dishwashing station. Provided drainers and supplies are under the sink.
Relax on the private covered lanai you will discover a pull down, semi-transparent shade to filter the afternoon sun. You'll find a roomy rocking chair as well, with a second in the studio.
Sandpiper Village is nestled on several acres of paradise in Princeville. The complex has a large enclosed swimming pool area with a communal hot tub. Plenty adjustable loungers are available for your comfort and convenience. You also are encouraged to barbecue in this area using the two Weber gas barbecue grills and provided utensils. Sandpiper Village is close to the Princeville Shopping Center and restaurants, jogging path and the lovely Makai Golf Course and tennis courts. Miles of beautiful beaches at Hanalei, Haena, Anini and many more locations are only a short drive away!
I am just a 5 minute drive away in the event you need my help.
Local independent, streaming Community Radio station, 90.9 KKCR, plays Hawaiian music overnight and often during the day. There's a great variety of talk shows and "DJ choice" music programming beginning at 7am. Listen to it online when you return home!
DON'T FORGET to return parking pass and pool key to hooks on the wall. Door keys should be on the wall and in the lock box to avoid $50 replacement EACH! We don't want your last reminder of Kaua'i to be a notice from Vrbo that you are being charged!!

We stayed for 2 nights with our infant daughter. The Sandpiper condo was perfect as a base for exploring the north shore and Hanalei! We enjoyed the lanai and room decor. The pool and hot tub were great and very close to the room. The parking lot was also very close and easy to find a spot (we stayed in October).
Check in was amazingly easy. Unit was clean and very comfortable. A/C was a real bonus as the weather was hot and humid. We didn't use the "kitchen" (which was set up outdoors on the deck) at all but there did seem to be a good assortment of utensils. Parking was plentiful and there was always a spot available. Location was quite convenient, Hanalei was just a few minutes away as was Anini Beach.
We stayed here for two nights to explore the north shore and the place was perfect for everything we needed. Would stay here again.
The condo was exactly what we needed for a short two night stay. The host provided a lot of good tips and pointers for exploring the North Coast. The unit had a lovely bed, a clean bathroom, and a lanai with a great view. The AC unit was much appreciated for the warmer nights and afternoons when we were returning to relax before dinner. We liked the provided gear such as the cooler and beach chairs, but the only downside was the cooler needed to be cleaned (beer spillage and sand) and one of the chairs had a broken strap and mold growing on it (probably from storage on the balcony it could get wet). The other chair was newer and fine. We did not use the snorkel gear.
Nice quiet cute neighborhood! We stayed during April and didn’t have any issues with parking Clean space that had everything we needed. Super easy to communicate with the host
10 Very clean, comfortable and close to everything ! The condo had all the amenities we needed. We had a rental car and were able to get anywhere easily. So many beaches close by and there is a pool in the community. Only thing is I wish we could have stayed longer !
Sandpiper is conveniently located to all the adventures in the north with easy access to Kapaa and Poi Pou in the south. The development and condo is clean and well maintained. The owners were accurate in their description of the property and condo. We would definitely stay again!
Easy to find and was fully stocked as advertised. We didn’t use any of the kitchen items as we were with another group who had a full kitchen but it does have a full size fridge. The bed was comfortable, cold AC if needed, big shower with bath gel, shampoo and conditioner. As mentioned in other reviews the walls are paper thin so bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. It’s on the 2nd story with no elevator. The snorkel gear provided looks new and in great shape but we didn’t use it. Also provided are 2 beach chairs, beach umbrella, small 6 pack cooler with frozen cold packs, 3 beach towels, which we appreciated very much, and a rain umbrella. The bathroom sink is a big bar sink with a high kitchen faucet. Plenty of supplies for washing dishes under the sink. We didn’t use the pool but it’s close by. The lanai faces the parking lot so not much to look at but it was still an enjoyable stay. It was a good location for our 3 days up north.
First, the owners were great with communication. I loved that they set up the room to be cooled off and even had chilled water in the Brita, much needed! The owners were very quick to respond to my questions the first night. The problem was with parking. There is no designated parking space for this rental. It wasn’t a problem most nights but two nights we couldn’t find any spots available. The owner to allow renters the space and hey have. Second was the noise. There was roofing construction going on most of the early mornings and the gardeners were literally using the leaf blowers outside of the unit about 5 mornings out 7. There were also people loudly yelling in the early morning of our last day. I will not stay there again. I did not get the peace and tranquility I was hoping and needing.
This great little condo was exactly as advertised and made the perfect home base for my husband and me as we enjoyed the beautiful north shore of Kauai. Having a full-sized refrigerator, coffee maker & kitchenette on the lanai was perfect for breakfasts and helped us save a bit on food. The studio's decor and furnishings are pleasing and high quality. We'd gladly return again. Mahalo for a great stay!
Everything you need and nothing you don’tPerfect location with a lovely pool and hot tub after the long flight. It’s a small space that was perfect for the two of us for a couple days. Great stars! Beautiful walks and just a couple minutes away from the little shopping center with a Foodland and a Tiki lounge. Highly recommend this spot for an affordable stay in Princeville. Thank you for a lovely time!
We had a lovely time in Kauai. The apartement in Princeville was super cozy, clean and well equiped. The location was great and the communication with the hostess was very efficient. We recommend!
Washing dishes in a bathroom sink was rough. Overall the place was fine.
We were so happy with this property. The location was great, close to Princeville and many wonderful places you can walk to. We never had trouble finding parking and the check-on/check-out process was totally seamless. The bed was SO comfy and we very much enjoyed spending time on the lanei with a cold beverage after a long day of hiking or swimming. When I first booked this I thought "why would we use a hot tub in this tropical location?" (we are from Canada where hot tubs are definitely associated with cold winter days after skiing) but it was so lovely to have especially after treking along to Na Pali Coast.I would 100% stay at Marilyn's place again. She was super responsive and provided us some good tips on places to go.
Very tight, thin walls, no kitchen
The condo was everything we needed. Walking distance to the marketplace. Lovely grounds & super comfy bed. We knew we wouldn’t be cooking, so the lack of a kitchen did not impact us. We will definitely stay here again.
Princeville is where you want to be as it's the most highly sought after places to be on Kauai. The Studio rental looks just like the pictures. I love the full size fridge. We don't need a kitchen since we enjoy trying out the different food places on Kauai. The high ceiling makes this unit feel so grand. Getting into the unit was easy. The access to beach chairs and snorkel equipment is a nice choice, but not used as we brought our own snorkel gear. Note: an entrance to the other unit is on the same landing and as long as you are ok with noise/chatter from other tenants, you will be fine. I am used to living in close quarters on Oahu so it wasn't as issue for us. Early in the evening we could hear our neighbor's tv on, but they shut it off relatively early. We had a patio with chairs and a drying rack. As mentioned in previous reviews, the sliding glass door's lock wasn't working. Unless someone is scaling the wall to enter it's not an issue, but it did my my young teen a little nervous initially. It's a simple fix. I would recommend this unit to others as Marily was very quick to respond to an inquiry. The price is right for this unit and I would most likely return to this unit when I visit Kaua'i once again.
Loved my stay and the walks were beautiful
Ive been island hopping and stayed in a vrbo property for each stay. This was the best property. Pictures can be deceiving. In this case the pictures didnt to the property justice. It was much nicer and very well equipped. They thought of everything. It was clean, roomier than expected and easy to check in and out and parking was also easy. Excellent.
Needed somewhere to stay in Princeville before checking into our time share. This property fit the bill and the host was available for questions when needed. Room was clean and well stocked with toiletry items. Would recommend staying here again.
Our stay was pretty good.
Our room was the perfect get away room. Although it qas cleaned the day after arrival.
