Beautiful Custom Eco Friendly Home with Private Back Yard POOL

The home was beautiful! The pool was a perfect size to enjoy several times a day just to relax after a busy day of sight seeing. The whole house included everything you could possible need with a grocery store close. Definitely would recommend this to everyone! The only draw back right now is that there is new construction close by with lots of jack hammering and construction noises most of the day, but still did not take away the beauty of the location and the home.

The house and property are dreamlike! It smelled of flowers the entire stay. Both the front and backyard are lovely. The home was well stocked with towels and amenities. The hosts were very quick to respond. The location was hard for the younger teens as it is a 30-40 minute drive (depending on traffic) from Hilo, things to do and beaches. I however enjoyed the cliffs and the more rural setting. The hardest thing about the home was the heat and no a/c. There are lots of fans but it’s an adjustment if you are not used to it which we were not. The frogs are loud but earplugs helped.

Another great stay here - feels like home away from home. Swam every day in the pool and easy drive to Hilo for swims in the ocean. The fruit stand just up the road to get our daily papaya and lime is the best.

Our family of four absolutely loved this house. It was truly a spot in paradise. The kitchen was so well stocked with all you could need. The beds were super comfortable. There were pool toys to play with and a hot outdoor shower. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home!

The house was great! With the codes for the gate and house, it was all very easy. As a family of 4, it worked well for us and had everything we needed.

House, pool and grounds were beautiful. A window came loose in the wind and the owners had someone come and fix it right away!

We enjoyed our stay at the Kea’au house very much. We especially liked the kitchen and outdoor pool and landscaping. The only complaint and reason for 4 stars is a problem with a lot of small black bugs that were attracted to the lights and seemed to be in the house. Just needs some thorough pest control as everything else was great.

Comfortable and secure setting, large eqiuped kichen, beautiful pool and plenty of patio furniture for sunning or hanging out.

This house was wonderful! Its location to Hilo and Volcanoes NP was exactly what we needed. The pool was something we didn’t know we needed until we were there and spent so much time there after adventuring each day. I also appreciated how well stocked this house was. We rent VRBOs often and the fact this house had a knife block AND a knife sharpener is AMAZING. Those little things can really make a difference. Plus the use of a cooler and cold blocks in the freezer! Tons of Tupperware for storing food. Those things really make this home owner stand out to us. Loved it and would stay again!

My husband and I came to Hawaii to celebrate our anniversary. We brought our children over to experience this beautiful state. This property was perfect for this. It has everything you can think of; board games, pool toys and privacy.Thank you so much Todd and Melanie

Impressive.

We were five family adults there for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This home couldn’t have been more perfect. The common area (living room, kitchen and dining) was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed. We prepared a Thanksgiving meal there that was truly special. The bedrooms were all large with comfortable beds. One of the bedrooms has a separate outside entrance, but it was just a quick walk outside down the stairs, so it was no problem at all to access. The private pool is beautiful and very well maintained, as is all the outside property. The home’s location is in a large residential area that is a 20-25 minute drive into Hilo. But the quiet setting, away from the busy tourists areas, was welcome at the end of a long day of sightseeing. The owner Melanie was friendly, responsive and helpful with the couple of questions that we had. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would definitely book it again, should we be fortunate enough to return to Hawaii.

We appreciated the well -equipped kitchen and lovely private pool area in this as-new spacious house. We could make day trips of the east coast. There are no shops, cafes or beaches nearby.

Wonderful relaxing vacation. We thought the bird & frogs sounds every night was a recoded welcome for us, but it was real. Loved our stay and would stay again!

Wonderful and comfortable house with beautiful landscaping and refreshing pool. Location is convenient for exploring the eastern half of the island. Rental process was super easy and owners are quick to communicate. Would happily stay here again!

The house is large and clean, the pool is WONDERFUL and the property is gorgeous with flowers everywhere! We had a wonderful time, the kitchen has everything we needed, plenty of towels and my kids really appreciated all of the pool toys. We hope to come back in the future!

House was very clean and had plenty of room for our family of 4. One bedroom has separate access, which worked fine for us but may not work for families with younger children. We really enjoyed the backyard and pool. We swam every afternoon/evening when we got home from activities and used the charcoal grill a couple of times. The house did stay a bit warm for us at night and the frogs were pretty loud with the windows open, but we have AC in our house and like to keep it pretty cool at night. It’s around a 45-50 minute drive to Volcanoes National Park, about 35-40 minutes to Hilo, and 15-20 to Keaau (grocery store and a few restaurants). I had a question about checkout and Melanie responded right away. Overall, we really enjoyed it.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was very spacious and the pool area was amazing! There isn't any air conditioning but the room and extra fans kept it very comfortable. Good location between Volcano and Hilo so it was easy to get to everything we wanted to see and do on that side of the island. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We loved this beautiful Hawaiian home. It excelled with easy living layout, comfortable beds, exceptional kitchen, but the most essential, for this side of the island, the superbly sparkling pool to cool off after our days exploring!

We enjoyed the quieter neighborhood with local food spots 10-15 min away. Having our own pool was the highlight of every afternoon for our 2 year old. Having games, pool toys and towels were so helpful. We cooked several meals in the fully stocked kitchen and appreciated the bar soap and bottled water when we arrived! Although beaches weren’t super close, we will happily stay here again as a family!

My husband and I needed a quiet unique getaway. He is having heart surgery on Monday and this is just what we needed❤️ What an amazing place! It was so much more than the pictures. They take so much pride in their home! Thank you for sharing this diamond with us!

We were so impressed with this property: house, yard, pool and coqui frogs at night. Coffee on the upstairs patio was outstanding, so peaceful, so tranquil. Loved the rainfall too!

We loved our stay in this lovely home. The property was beautiful and the pool was a huge hit with the kids. The house feels very spacious and open. You fall asleep to the jungle noises outside. The beds are very comfy and there is plenty of seating in the dining room, living room and outside. The owners seem to have thought of everything. The pantry is stocked with spices and random things left by previous guests, which was very appreciated. There are plenty of glasses and plasticware and storage containers and cookware. We made our own food most days, and all of this was very convenient and helpful. There are coolers, beach towels, plenty of linens and blankets. My kids also loved playing Yahtzee and the other games that were there. It was very hard to leave the place. If we do come back, we will be staying there again!

The property was everything and more than we expected. The lush gardens and tranquil pool were enjoyed by all. The home was well equipped and the beds were a delight! Thank you for allowing us to live the Hawaiian life.

We loved our stay here so much. Spacious, beautiful and clean home and a delight to play in the pool every day. A little bit off the beaten path on the cooler side of the island but a gorgeous location tucked away in a quiet neighborhood with the sound of crashing waves on the cliffs nearby. Would absolutely stay again.

This home surpassed our expectations. Spacious and well appointed. Had everything you needed. Well stocked kitchen (really appreciated the many glass storage containers). Loved the pool and spent all our meals on the Lanai. WiFi was good too as unfortunately I had to work part of the time, but was able to do that mostly outside. Would definitely come back again. Oh yeas and very comfortable beds.
