Amazing location!
Views were wonderful! Overall, the accommodations were adequate. However, very dated, chipping paint, uncomfortable bed and pillows. Tried to reheat fish and chips but no pans for use in the oven or countertop oven.
Loved watching fireworks from the lanai
Centrally located in busy Waikiki. Parking is challenging. Room met our needs and was clean.
Bed uncomfortable and pillows are like rocks. The room needs updating and a thorough cleaning, coffee grounds still in coffee maker from last tenant.
We've stayed in this unit multiple times and are always glad to come back. Location is perfect, beautiful view, property is clean and well-maintained - highly recommended!
The condo was clean and very well taken care of, we loved that there were some beach supplies avaliable for us to use. Coffee on the balcony each morning was the best! Also Friday firworks are visible from the balcony. Highly recommend that!
We had a wonderful experience staying at this condo. From the moment we arrived, everything matched the website’s description and photos—no surprises, just exactly what we hoped for. The condo was perfect for the two of us, but I can see how it would be comfortable enough for a family of four (not to mention it’s a great value for the money). The highlight for us was the shaded balcony with its great view of the beach and the lagoon. It quickly became our favorite spot—we started every morning there with coffee and ended most evenings with dinner, soaking in the scenery and gentle breeze. And we got to watch the Hilton fireworks right from the balcony twice. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals, which made it feel like a true home away from home. The king bed was comfortable, the sofa as comfortable as a pull-out can be :). We got plenty of bath and beach towels. The Ilikai building location was ideal—close to everything we wanted to see and do. Whether we were heading to the beach, grabbing groceries, or checking out local restaurants, everything was just a short walk away.Communication with management was great, it’s a big plus that they are located in the same building. We’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and well-appointed place to stay.
Checking in was simple and easy. The room needs major updating. Floors were dirty and cabinets were dusty. The air conditioner was not working properly as it was warm not matter how low we set it.The sofa bed was very uncomfortable. The area was great and we found overnight parking nearby at a great price of 1.00 per hour. I definitely would stay at this location again but not in this unit.
Vert good unit, fine restaurants near the hotel. Fine Beach. All in all, a good experience. Highly recormendable.
As with all reviews there are great things and some not so great, let’s start off with the greatThe view!! BeautifulEasy beach access-short 5-6min walk from roomLaundry rooms on each floor-loved the idea of not taking him any dirty clothesTravel agent right downstairs, very informational The just ok stuffOnly 4 towels all week unless you want to pay extra No dishwasher Only 2 blankets No fitted sheet on the bedPillows were available but so big you couldn’t hardly use them to sleep withBed was just ok, maybe think about replacing the mattressLighting not so greatKitchen needs updated Overall a decent place to stay especially if you are on a budget.
Very nice hotel condo, but this unit needs a little love, very 1970s. Why no bedspread? Kitchen had bare essentials but we didn’t cook. Perhaps a newer mattress, better lighting, kinda dark. The view in this unit was the BEST part. I kept picturing what I would do to make it awesome. It could be a better money maker.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay on Oahu in this condo. I am not the type to book lodging in a high tourist area but it was exactly what I expected and the location at the end of Waikiki Beach was perfect. Although I tried to get away from the busy area it was still loud at night, thankfully closing the slider did the trick. We found a hidden gem of a restaurant next door near the marina and enjoyed a simpler meal. We stayed on Oahu to see Pearl Harbor before moving on to Maui. A must see.Everything was great.
We loved the condo and location! Check in was easy! Communication was great with the owners! Would return anytime!
This unit was clean and comfortable. It is however in need of updating. We enjoyed taking in the wonderful views from the balcony. The beach toys are in need of replacement.
The bed was comfortable as were the 2 sofas. It was very quiet and we enjoyed the balcony. Property showed its age and looked a little scuffed up. The location and convenient walk to most amenities were appreciated. Terrific views.
We have stayed here before and really enjoyed our visit. This year was no different. A great place to stay.
Fantastic place to stay! Perfect location!Highly recommended :-)
The place had a great view but I was misled that it could sleep 4 adults because the pull out bed was not the greatest. Also when I booked the place I thought there was an other small bed along with the pull out bed. Everything else was great . I would recommend it for a family of four with small kids .
Great location and hot water in shower was great. The outside of fridge has seen better days
This property really needs updating! Our view was spectacular, but the neighbours above air-conditioning unit leaked and splashed onto our balcony railing and our chairs/table. The floors were not clean when we arrived, so we had to contact owner to have them cleaned. A little disappointing considering the cost to stay. Hopefully these are helpful feedback for future guests. Yours truly Maureen
Outdated. Seriously, the kitchen was very old. The granite countertops didn’t make up for the old cabinets. Recommend owner clear the calendar for some much needed upgrades, especially anything wooden. Also, renters should be aware that the balcony location is very close to the next balcony and offers very little privacy. Location and hotel were nice and convenient.
This property was very clean and except for a few minor things was as advertised. It was conveniently located near Ala Moana (10-15 minute walk). Parking could be a little bit of a challenge if you returned back at 9 PM or later. We choose to park in the various lots around the Ilikai and they fill up quickly once the sun goes down. The expensive parking garages did have parking.
Great condo with a great view ! Bonus in Friday nights you have a line of sight viewing of the Hilton Hawaiian Village fireworks show !!! Only negative was the constant Hilton Hawaiian workers strike with megaphones all day and until 10pm .... Not condo owners fault ..great condo !!
Room very outdated . Manager was rude and suggested room was smelling like mold because we anre unclean :). Horrible customer service . Location was great, the view was excellent.
The condo is nicely located. Close to everything. It was well stocked. The pools are amazing. Coin operated(or credit/debit card)washer and dryer located almost across from the unit. The condo itself could use a remodel. We would stay there again.
My partner and myself always stay in this building when visiting Waikiki. We find this location perfect for our stays has it has all the convenience of shopping, transport, bars & restaurants. This unit is just as described. Its little dated and could do with some paint touch ups, however its clean, comfortable and good air con if required. Overall excellent value and would not hesitate to recommend as a choice of stay.
We had an amazing time at this condo. We never thought we were resort people until we stayed here. First of all, you can't beat the view! We loved sitting on the lanai, and the added bonus of the Friday night fireworks! The Ilikai building is charming and we loved everything about the grounds. My kids had a great time at the pool, and the location couldn't be beat! We were all sad to leave! Thank you!
Excellent place and location can see a return visit
Great view of Marina and Ocean. Properties has great amenities. Close walk to everything in Waikīkī and Ala Moana Mall.
Great views and location to the beach. Had everything we needed.
My wife and I stayed at this beautiful property for 3 nights before our Norwegian Cruise. What a great start to our 35th Anniversary vacation! Location was excellent. Close to everything. We ate at the fabulous restaurants within walking distance so we never used the kitchen. We rented a car and there was lots of parking options in the area. $28-$45 per night.
A 1 week stay. The location right next to Hilton Hawaiian Village and walking distance to Ala Moana. Well equipped kitchen and large balcony overlooking the pools, lagoon and ocean. The pools are great. The apartment must be updated. It needs refurbishing completely. The curtains, kitchen, bathroom etc needed to be redone. Furniture is ok but the sofa bed is not good.
The property was exactly as described. The view was amazing. We also enjoyed Dave’s Ice Cream. We would definitely stay here again. It was nice to watch the fireworks from our balcony. It is also very convenient.
We had a fantastic week in this place. Stayed there as a family of four. As we were out all day, the space was absolutely fine. It is well equipped and had everything we needed. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. We enjoyed the walking distance to the beaches and shopping. We parked our car in the Marina parking garage which is only 2 minutes away.
We had such a great time. The place was great for what we needed. It was a good location and beautiful view. It had everything we needed. Only downside was the pots and pans were really well used and needed to be replaced. We didn’t want to cook with them. I also didn’t care about the room dividers just personal preference and therefore didn’t use them. The place could use some updating and was being worked on as it got a new couch after we checked out. Overall this place worked well for us on our trip and would rent again. The owner was nice and easy to communicate with.
We had an amazing stay. The location and the view of the condo made it incredible. The best part was all the beach items the host provided. The host had a beach cart for us to haul the beach chairs, cooler, and boogie board. We would stay at the condo again in a heartbeat.
This is the second time we stayed at Ilikai in as many months. We stayed for 3 nights Dec 30, 2023 as a pre-cruise tour of Waikik. We enjoyed the property so much that we booked 6-nights early February 2024. This time the condo unit is by comparison, aged but clean. However, all elevators in the building stopped working for a full day and remain two-thirds not functional for the balance of our stay. For a 25+ storied building, it was very hard for the residents. We are a couple in our late 70's. Carrying luggage for multi-floors/stairs was nearly impossible.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Waikiki at the Ilikai Hotel VRBO. The bed was wonderful and firm. Air conditioning worked well. Pools were great. We had a lovely experience. Thank you.
We had a great prestay before our cruise. The room is a bit dated but well maintained and clean. Updated bath and kitchen. Great location to Waikiki but away from mass congestion. We watched the Friday night fireworks from our balcony. This property is a great value and easy walking to ABC store, shopping and activities. Thank you.
Very close to the laundry room on this floor, a plus when you are a senior.
