Hapuna Beach Villa is a 3-bedroom residence overlooking the Hapuna Golf Course with sweeping ocean and Kohala mountain views. Featuring two master suites and a junior master, it comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests. The open design blends indoor and outdoor living with disappearing lanai doors, a private heated pool, jacuzzi, outdoor kitchen with Wolf grill, and expansive backyard sunsets. Inside, enjoy a gourmet kitchen with Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, great room with wet bar, 60†TV, Sonos sound, and dual-zone A/C. Set within the gated Wai'ula'ula community, guests can also access a recreation center with infinity pool, fitness room, and lounge. An optional Mauna Kea VIP Amenity Package offers resort-style privileges, including golf, tennis, pools, and two of Hawaii's best white-sand beaches.
Aloha! Welcome to Hapuna Beach Villa, our home overlooking the Hapuna Golf Course in the beautiful Waiulaula development with panoramic 180 degree views of the ocean and Kohala mountains. We also have partial views of the 14th green.
Our home is a 3 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom, 3000 sq. ft. one level luxury villa. The L-shaped lanai doors disappear into the walls inviting an outdoor living experience that will suit even the most discriminate travelers and inviting a relaxing vacation as you lounge around the private heated pool and jacuzzi or eat dinner at the lanai table as you enjoy the beautiful sunset from what is considered to be the one of the best view locations in Waiulaula with it's west facing exposure. Our villa also has one of the largest back yards in Waiulaula with an extended lanai inviting fabulous water and sunset views or slip out to the backyard stone bench set among gorgeous Hawaiian bougainvillea to enjoy the sunset. We have a private secluded setting amongst the villa's with a beautifully landscaped Hawaiian yard.
The great room with wet bar is beautifully furnished with a sectional and a 60' flat screen television with surround sound and Sonos speaker. Cable television and Apple TV add to the feeling of luxury for those who want to relax and catch up on some favorite shows. The glass dining table completes the open, airy feeling felt throughout the villa as you invite the outdoors in.
The well stocked gourmet kitchen is a cooks dream with cherry cabinets and granite counters. It is equipped with a Wolf six burner gas range, Wolf oven and microwave, Sub-Zero Refrigerator, and small appliances such as blender, rice maker, coffee maker, electric kettle and popcorn maker. The outdoor cooking center on the lanai also houses granite counters, a Wolf six burner grill complete with rotisserie and a small refrigerator.
For your laundry needs, we have an extra large capacity washer and dryer. Laundry detergent is stocked for your use as well as an ironing board and iron.
Bedroom accommodations include two master suites and one junior master. Master suite one has a king size canopy bed, 55' flat screen television, cable TV, Apple TV, DVR and Sonos speaker, small desk, luxury shower for two with walk through outdoor shower, a large vanity with two sinks, private toilet room and a large walk-in closet. Master suite two comes with a Cal King bed, 55' flat screen television,cable TV, Apple TV, DVR, Sonos speaker, loveseat, large two person glass walled shower, jacuzzi, private toilet area, two separate vanities and large walk-in closet. The third bedroom is decorated for either the kids or adults with a Cal King bed and a twin trundle beds (2 regular twin beds), flat screen television, Apple TV, DVD and Sonos speaker. There is an en-suite bathroom with a large shower. There is a hairdryer in each ensuite bathroom.
The house rental cannot exceed a maximum of 8 people.
The villa has dual zone air-conditioning and wireless throughout.
For safety reasons, the tiki torches in the backyard are not operational.
Waiulaula is located on 48 acres of beautiful Mauna Kea Resort property with incredible views of the Pacific Ocean and Kohala Mountains. Some days you can see Maui from our villa. This secure, gated community has it's own recreation center complete with an salt-water infinity pool, spa, cooking center, indoor kitchen, reading area, television room and fitness room with top of the line exercise equipment.
The Mauna Kea VIP Amenity Package is available to our guests for the daily fee below. Guest Fee Schedule (Effective January 1, 2026)

Festive Season: December 19, 2026 – January 2, 2027 Stay in a private home, but be treated as a hotel guest. There is not an option to choose days. Mauna Kea counts your first and last day as one. The Amenity Package gives access to the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and the Hapuna Prince Resort as if you were a guest there, with golf at better than hotel rates. The options include a newly renovated 18 holes of championship golf at Mauna Kea and 18 renovated holes of golf at Hapuna Resort. With the amenities package enjoy a discount for golf and tennis. Also available are workout facilities, hotel pool, parking, towels and two of the best white sand beaches on the Kohala coast and all of Hawaii. There are numerous restaurants and shops located nearby as well and guests may even establish charging privileges at the hotel to make daily outings easier. Guests may visit both Mauna Kea and Hapuna Beach without paying for the Amenities Package, but won’t receive the use of towels, chairs, umbrella's and at Mauna Kea, preferred parking.

Any cancellation within 60 days of arrival date will result in a full payment of rental fee. **Dates may be changed for the value of the reservation minus a $1000 cancellation fee, given there is no interference with any other confirmed bookings. However, if there is a shortened length of stay, the rental fee will not be reduced. The re-booked dates must be within one year of the original dates. In the event a client has to cancel, we will attempt to fill the rental vacancy. In the event that we can fill the vacancy, the tenant will only be responsible to cover payment for days not rebooked, plus a $1000 cancellation fee. *At Christmas, we require 120 days notice to cancel the reservation.
Check-in is at 4:00 pm and check-out is at 10:00 am.

This was our second stay here and we had a wonderful time! The house is lovely with a beautiful ocean view and easy access to the Mauna Kea.
Spacious, luxurious house, thoughtfully and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is the best-equipped and best-organized kitchen of any rental property I have visited. Lovely lanai with gorgeous views of the ocean and landscape of the Big Island. The Sonos sound system provided the perfect ambiance during our stay. Overall it was a wonderful, memorable visit to the Big Island for my family.
Our family had a wonderful relaxing vacation staying at this Hapuna Beach Villa residence in Kona. The house is perfect and even more beautiful than the pictures. We especially enjoyed adding on the Mauna Kea Club Membership for access to the two hotels during our stay. We enjoyed the beaches, pool, golf and had many meals at the hotels. Karen and Steve were very prompt in all communications as well as the on site property manager. We wish we could have stayed longer!
We had the best time at the home - it’s very well appointed with amazing views and an awesome location. We opted for the amenities package which gave us access to the hotel pools and beaches. It truly was a spectacular stay and house.

Beautiful home equipped with everything you could possibly need, especially the kitchen. Spacious common areas open to the outside or not, depending on what you want at the time. Quiet neighborhood and very private back yard. Couldn't ask for anything better!
A very lovely house. We had a few issues with the hot tub and the swimming pool heating which seems to have been corrected at the end of the stay. The house were responsive and we really appreciated the late check out.
We stayed in the same development last yea, but we liked this house even more because the property manager was flexible and responsive, the house had better ocean views and a useable backyard, and the house was fully stocked with everything a guest could need. All in all, a very enjoyable experience other than the fact that the Westin's family pool was under construction for most of our stay.
Very nice stay for our family of four. We requested and were treated to an early check in that allowed us to hit the grocery store on our way from the airport which was helpful. Only hiccup was checking in the key code did not match our number as indicated on the instructions. A quick text to the property manager resolved this immediately. Our family enjoyed the stay here with full amenities and privacy with spacious bedrooms, A/C, and the pool/jacuzzi. Everything was clean and plenty of towels for indoor and outdoor uses. Beds were super comfortable. We also paid for the privileges at the Mauna Kea and Hapuna Prince which were great to be able to enjoy the resorts each day and retreat to the quiet neighborhood. Will be returning for sure!
The best, seriously the best place to stay! The house is absolutely gorgeous and has every amenity you could possibly wish for. Amazing communication with the owners and the manual they left answered most questions - anything else could be answered easily by their on-island contact. The location is prime with beautiful sunset views every night! The unit comes with the option of a club membership at a daily rate and I 100% recommend getting that as it made going to the beach, cocktails, and meals out that much easier. We do not want to leave but are already discussing a family vacation to return! Hopefully we can stay here again! Thank you very much for sharing your beautiful home!!
We have been coming to this area for awhile now and truly enjoyed what this property offered. The house suited our families with young children and grandparents so well. We took advantage of the passes to the Mauna Kea and Hapuna beaches, which certainly added to the ease and enjoyment of what this beautiful island offers. The property manager was incredibly responsive and we look forward to coming back on our next trip!
