Everything was fine.
Hana Kai is very convenient place to stay. Lanai is big and great place to hang out.
Our second trip ! We enjoy every time !
Great location! Was so nice to walk the grounds and the beach. Close to food trucks and black sand beach. Would definitely stay here again!
Great spot right on the beach
no sheet for the pull-out bed and the renters above us were SUPER loud. When staying at a place like this a little noise is expected but these renters started running and talking loud with kids running outside at 6am. We only stayed over to get good sleep before checking out more Hana stuff the next day. AND the fan light randomly came on in the middle of the night waking me up in master bedroom.
Clean, roomy unit with a great view of the bay. The covered porch was fantastic. Thank you for the easy late check in.
The place was clean and comfortable and I appreciated the helpful tips about Hana. Thanks again for a pleasant stay!
Great place to stay with the essentials provided. Loved being able to hear the ocean and see the sunrise. Unit was really clean.
Great place to stay
The property is in a great location, very quite and staff are very friendly
Only stayed one night, but the place was clean and comfortable. We brought food with us and everything we needed was in the kitchen to cook. We would have stayed longer, but that’s a pretty stiff price for a night.
Super friendly staff welcomed us. Grounds have a lovely cascading koi pond, garden, and gathering area overlooking the bay/ocean. Very serene. I loved this place. The furniture was ornately carved. The sliding window door between the bedroom and living area was unique and allowed additional light in. Nice kitchen, very comfortable bed, great shower. Only stayed one night, but could have stayed longer. Very peaceful and laid back.
A great place to escape and enjoy the beauty of Hana and Maui.
I would’ve enjoyed it a lot more if it didn’t rain the entire time. Of course it is a rainforest and the grounds are beautiful and the scenery is gorgeous
Check in was fast and easy. Front counter staff was pleasant, friendly and informative.
This was my first experience staying overnight in Hana, but it won’t be my last. The property is beautifully situated on Hana Bay with a lovely black rock beach to the left and a more traditional sand beach to the right. I rented a one bedroom unit with a king bed and sleep couch and was very pleased with the view, the cleanliness of the room, the supplied amenities for cooking, and the convenient location of the property to the beach and the things to see in town. The property is accurately described as older, but well-maintained, clean, and give you a nice vibe of the early days of tourism in Hawaii. I was worried about no air-conditioning but shouldn’t have been, even with the 90° day we had there the sea breeze and the fans in the room or more than enough to keep us comfortable and admittedly with the windows and screens open better connected to the sounds and sights of the ocean. If you want a totally unobstructed view of the ocean try to get a room in the lower building, or a room on the upper floor In the upper building. You might be tempted to think the rooms are overpriced because they have no climate control, but this is Hawaii and it is Hana where rooms are very limited. The staff was very friendly, helpful with local directions, and with quick responses to my communication. In summary, if you want a quiet, peaceful place to grab a bit of old Hawaii charm with excellent views and quick access to the towns offerings I highly recommend this property.
So good! Beautiful view, clean room!
Great location, friendly, relatively simple rooms.
Very roomy condo with kitchen, range top and fridge for simple cooking. Very clean. Enjoyed the large balcony ocean front view. We were most impressed by the receptionist who was extremely friendly and helpful, providing a lot of useful info. Really like this property, will be back next time
Loved the three wall pass through for natural air flow!! Nice balcony and a short walk to the black sand beach
This place was such a delightful find. Open floor plan with screen doors at either end opening to views of either the ocean or garden. Well-appointed kitchen, comfy bed, fabulous pillows (that is such an overlooked detail!), and beach towels you can borrow! Our only suggestion was that they provide more than two towel sets for our weekend stay - most hotels or units do. Highly recommend this place as a landing spot to explore East Maui's treasures.
