One of the reasons we love staying at this house is that the property owner/management company maintains the house in tip top shape. This year we noticed that the owner had purchased new beach chairs and cooking pans, and replaced the interior fans, which added to our comfort and enjoyment.

Great communication with host and we appreciated all of the welcome goodies! The home was exactly as pictured. The views of the lush gardens from the many windows throughout the house were beautiful. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and more. We enjoyed the upstairs porch for reading and listening to the waves. The beach chairs and umbrellas were appreciated and put to good use. Lastly, the proximity to the beach can't be beat and the stroll into town is under 10 minutes. We had an excellent stay!!

Loved the proximity to the beach, the jungle feel, the deck for eating and sharing. The neighbors behind us were noisy early in the morning sometimes late at night. We enjoyed their fruit stand though. Appreciated the fans for air and noise cover. Always love the roosters. Dianna cleaned half way through our stay… thank you. She was great. Appreciated the beach chairs and boogey boards and washer and dryer. It was an easy house, lots of towels and kitchen equipment… we love Hanalei. Thank you

We couldn’t have asked for a better location. My family wanted to surf, boogie board, hike and relax. This location was right by the beach, walking distance to the town( shave ice) and very close to the national park. We loved being on Hanalei Bay, we feel that the experience wouldn’t have been the same in Princeville. We found the beds comfortable, there were tons of fans, kitchen was well stocked and we would love to come back. If I could make a suggestion, although didn’t alter my rating, It’s so nice to have a working beach umbrella.

We loved our stay. Beautiful, clean home. Steps to the beach, walking distance to town shops and restaurants. Easy access to Haena shuttle for the park and a great location to explore all the north shore has to offer.

The Sunset Hale was absolutely gorgeous. My wife's family and I spent a week there and found it spotless, spacious, and serene. The house is literally just off the beach at Pine Trees. The owners stocked the rental with a half dozen beach chairs, beach towels, and even a beach umbrella. The kitchen is well appointed with all the appliances you'll need, plus a rice cooker. My only complaint would be that some sharper knives would have been nice. The bedding was comfortable, as was the living room furniture. The lanai was one of the best features. We would sit out at the spacious table and eat breakfast and watch all the surfers and beachgoers walk by. There was also a huge gas grill that was immaculately maintained. While my wife and I have made nearly a dozen trips to Kauai, this was our in-laws first time and I'm afraid we may have ruined all future trips for them by setting the bar so high!

We were concerned about no AC as my husband is an asthma sufferer but it wasn’t an issue in the slightest. the numerous fans and trade winds made for perfect sleeping conditions. The owners left a little gift basket with recommendations and gift cards to local shops and when using a gift card at Pinks creamery, the person working there saw the gift card and said oh these owners are the best. We had that feeling but it was so nice to know how much they support local business on the beautiful island of kauai. Amazing recommendations. There was actually an island wide power outage the night before we checked out and we were quickly and easily able to find candles and matches. It really is the first time we have stayed anywhere where we felt like everything was thought of and left out for the renters and not stashed away in an owners closet. Wouldn’t hesitate to return. Most beautiful section of Hanalei beach. Loved loved. Thank you!

It was clean upon arrival, well appointed in all rooms, VERY convenient to the beach and the town of Hanalei, ample storage and nice beach amenities were provided. The rooms were all very comfortable with really nice screened windows and doors. Keyless entry made it easy for our whole family to come and go as we pleased. The kitchen was well equipped. Just one house from the beach, it made getting to the beach easy and very doable for just a couple of hours at a time. The home cooled down at night, but may be too warm for some people. Close to a quiet beach, house is well stocked for daily use

Our family and all our partners stayed in this home. It was the perfect location for walking to restaurants, surfing, and hiking north Kauai. We definitely would stay here again!

This really is a special property! The proximity to the beach and town can’t be beat, and the house/property did not disappoint. My family and I spent a lot of time cooking our own meals and were really impressed on how well equipped the kitchen was for 6 adults. The house was clean, the owner was responsive when needed, and the amenities were everything we were looking for. The whole experience was so positive, I will seek this property out again for my next trip. Mahalo!

The house is well maintained and fully stocked with cooking equipment and beach gear. When we arrived, we were greeted with a "welcome back" sign and fresh leis.The property management company was extremely responsive when we discovered that the modem was not functioning and needed to be replaced. We were back on line shortly after they came out and replaced the modem.
