Popolana” – Unit 2 – is our one and only oceanfront studio condominium. Just 100′ off the water, this lovely unit has warm tropical decor with bamboo walls and rattan furniture, a queen-size bed, granite counter tops, hardwood floors and glass block shower. The stunning view is showcased by a glass wall and sliding glass doors. Facing due east, the sun rises right over the water!
**Please note** Our units are not equipped with AIR CONDITIONING.
This unit has a 2-night minimum stay requirement with these two exceptions:
1. There is only 1 night available between 2 other reservations

The Hana coast offers some of Hawaii’s most beautiful, intimate beaches. From the black sands of Wainapanapa State Park to world famous Hamoa Beach, you can enjoy swimming, snorkeling or surfing close to your doorstep. There are many hidden places for you to explore. Just eight miles away, the pools at Oheo Gulch (“seven pools”) offer great scenery and refreshing swimming in Haleakala National Park-Kipahulu. Hikers will enjoy a panoramic hike up through the bamboo forest to Waimoku Falls. The trails at Wainapanapa will bring you to fresh-water caves or take you along the coast to spectacular views where you can sometimes see humpback whales as you hike along the cliffs. Fill your day with a stroll along the beach, or find a quiet place to sit and enjoy the unspoiled beauty.

We live on Maui and have stayed in Hana many times, but never at the Hana Kai...and it definitely won't be our last time! From the moment you walk in and see the view right over the water, to the cute and clean decor, this place had it all. Not to mention it was fully stocked, even more than other places we've stayed at. I absolutely will return and recommend others to as well!
Watch the sunrise from the lanai and then walk a few steps to the black sand beach. Literally, like 30 steps. Soak in the quiet and peace. The condo was really clean and extra pillows, towels, etc. we’re easily available. Perfect home base to explore Hana without stressing about the drive back down. This is hands down one of my favorite places to stay while we’re on island
We enjoyed our stay on the black beach edge, with the soothing sound of the waves and stunning ocean views. Our place was beautifully decorated. We had a perfect spot as a base to explore the sights of East Maui
Fantastic cozy studio in Hana. Outstanding deck and views of the ocean! Everything was as advertised. Smallest unit in building, but fine for one or two nights. Communication with property management was great. Close to everything in and around Hana, and right on the ocean!
We enjoyed staying in Hana and doing all of the Hana things! Loved the tradewinds!

Exactly as advertised. 3 minute drive to swimming h beach. For us it was a perfect 2 night stopover to make the Road To Hana experience that much more relaxing and enjoyable.
