Location was good. Hosts would quickly respond - but - the property needs a lot of tlc. Was dirty & dingy. Gaps under doors to the exterior, ants and mold on the shower liner. Pictures & description online did not represent the actual condition of the rental. Also - must love chickens if staying at this location.
There are many good things to say about this house in Hale’iwa, however, we had some issues worth mentioning. There were issues with check-in (lack of communication and directions) and when we arrived, a new fence (from original listing) was installed which limited access to the house. We were originally directed to use a “designated driveway” that was unsafe and impassable. After negotiating we were allowed to park outside the new fence in a safer driveway, however we received confusing and contradictory communication from VRBO. The house itself is as shown and worked well for our family of 5. We loved the area and got used to the roosters. If we hadn’t had the driveway and communication issues, it would have been preferable and more comfortable (less tension and confusion).
The property had the amenities and supplies that we needed, and was very comfortable. The hosts were hospitable and very helpful.
The property was everything we were hoping it would be - including a mango tree! It was such a cool experience staying there & being on the North Shore so close to everything!
The porch is cute. Everything went well. The ants and chickens were a bit annoying. (Wish we were aware of the chickens and not at 3:15 am).
We enjoyed our stay here and we wish we could’ve stayed longer. We will be back soon. Thank you Paradise!
