Fabulous house and great location

Best place we have ever rented! The hosts had everything and the place was in the best location. Would rent here again.

We spent our first Christmas away from home at Sunny Poipu Beach House. Communication from the hosts started pre trip and were excellent and we felt great about our trip before arriving. The house was exactly as described clean and thoughtfully stocked and arranged. Instructions were clear and many things were labeled. We took advantage of the stocked garage using the beach chairs, coolers, wagon and bags for our beach outings. We enjoyed walking to the beach in the mornings for the sunrise and I loved being able to access the nearby hiking trails. Coming from a cold weather state we loved our time on the relaxing Lanai. The beds were very comfortable and we had plenty of space for 5 adults to spread out when needed but also be able to sit down and eat together or play some games. Location is a great home base, within walking distance to many beaches and activities and a short drive to local shops. I wish we could return year after year. Thanks for everything!

The host was absolutely wonderful and attentive at any request or question we had. The house was so upscale and perfect as well as the location! We rented a couple of e-bikes for the week and had fun exploring the area. It was so convenient to walk down to Shipwrecks beach at sunrise and a morning latte. Love everything about this VRBO!!!

This was the perfect vacation home for our family (six adults, 2 toddlers). The hosts have thought of everything and the location is perfect! We'll be back :)

Beautiful house in a beautiful area. The house has everything one could possible need. Well equipped kitchen, beach toys, chairs, bags, comfy beds and couch. Incredibly clean. Wonderful deck, close to the beach. We had a great time!

The property was clean and modern with well maintained rooms. The beds were very comfortable. The attention to detail of the hosts is exceptional. There is nothing the hosts have not thought about. The property has good privacy and close access to Shipwreck Beach. Poipu Beach is a walk of about 1 mile away that you can access via a pathway behind the property.

We loved our stay at this very clean, very well-appointed house. The kitchen was the nicest and best- outfitted of any vacation rental we have ever stayed in (and that’s a lot!) also lots of beach toys and supplies. Very thoughtful! Great location; nice responsive hosts. Highly recommended!

Beautiful home and location

We had a great 2 week stay at the property. Location is a short walk to the beach and they have all the beach necessities in the garage. The house had everything we needed and the beds are very comfortable.

My husband and I chose this location based on pictures, descriptions and reviews we found online. We were celebrating our 50th anniversary with our sons and daughter in law. This house did not disappoint! Three bedrooms and 3 baths were certainly a plus, but this house had so much more to offer. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare and enjoy meals. The bedrooms were very comfortable with plenty of space to unpack and not feel crowded. The decorating throughout the house put us in the island spirit. Then there was the lanai where we spent a lot of our time. We did not use the grills, but they looked awesome. (A lot of good restaurants close by!) Finally, the view. The beautiful garden and the ocean in the distance made us feel like we were in paradise! We did walk to the pool and hot tub which were very nice but when you have an ocean so close you have to enjoy it. It was obvious the owners put a lot of love into this house and made it very guest friendly. I honestly cannot think of anything we needed to make our stay better. I would recommend this house to anyone heading to Kauai. I hope to return someday! Mahalo!

LOVED everything about this VRBO! From the location within walking distance to the beach to having the Hyatt Resort right next door to all the amazing amenities of the house. Equipped with everything you need from snorkeling equipment, boogie boards, water shoes, and even a couple bicyles.. to a kitchen with everything you need to cook or bbq family meals while you are there. The room set up worked perfectly for us with two master bedrooms upstairs and a downstairs (separate entrance) with two twins and partitioned area with a queen bed. I would definitely come back! A week of complete relaxation. Felt like time stopped. The unit truly was fully stocked, all you needed was a toothbrush. All amenities were within a short walk away. We thank you for a great week!!

Enjoyed our stay. House was very well equipped including beach equipment and boards. Upstairs balcony was the center of our activities.

We’ve had the opportunity to stay in a number of vacation rentals. This place is among the most accommodating and family friendly we’ve stayed. My son and his wife, along with our 15 month old granddaughter, stayed in the unit located on the first floor. They were able to have privacy and a quiet place for the baby to nap. We made good use of the pack n play, high chair, and stroller. My two adult daughters shared a bedroom on the second floor, and my wife and I the other second floor bedroom. We made good use of the beach chairs, beach wagon, umbrella, sand toys, fins, and snorkel gear. Corn hole and bocce ball also got good use. My wife and I started our daily walks from here to the Maha’ulepu Heritage Trail before sunrise. The beds were very comfortable for my finicky back. Situated on a very quiet cul-de-sac.Cannot more highly recommend.

I've never stayed at a 5 star anything before, but this property sure seems to check all those boxes for me! They provide EVERYTHING other than food. All the normal amenities, but ice chests, beach chairs, snorkels, fins, boogie boards, etc. The location is outstanding, as you'd expect. Kauai is, well, Kauai. If (when) we make it back to Kauai, we'll be staying here!

Our family of five really enjoyed our week here! The home was everything it was advertised to be and more. Well updated home, very comfortable and with a lot of room for our adult kids, my wife and me. Of the many vacation rentals we have had over the last 25 yrs, this is our favorite. I have never stayed in a rental home that is so well stocked for a family. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and all the toys for all ages - bikes, bodyboards, surfboards, yoga mats and many other things. Excellent location with easy access to a great beach.

Excellent choice for a family vacation, including our 16 month-old granddaughter. Location was super close to Shipwreck Beach (where the Grand Hyatt is located) and within a short walk of Brennecke and Poipu beaches. Baby Beach, a favorite for our grandaughter, was close by as well. Why we liked it: - the home is well appointed, with everything needed for an enjoyable beach stay. The labeling of what was where was very handy - no hunting to find things or to remember where things belonged. - we didn't have to haul any beach gear; they had everything we needed (and more) available. (Family members scuba diving did bring their own fins, snorkels and goggles, even though some were available to us)- we didn't have to haul any baby gear except a car seat and a few of her favorite small books. A stroller, pack & play bed and lots of toys were available.- the upstairs balcony was perfect. Safely enclosed for a toddler and lots of room for her to roam. Perfect for morning coffee/sunrise and evening cocktails/sunset. A couple of dinners on the grill there as well.- nice yard area for daily bocce ball matches and toddler exploration (not fenced, so we kept an eye on her). She loved spotting lizards and swinging on the shaded porch swing- Koloa is a very short drive away (Big Save, breweries, restaurants, etc) as well as two shopping centers. Lihue also close enough for a major Costco run.A perfect stay!

We loved our time here. The location was perfect for our family with adult kids. Lots to do and easy walk to multiple beaches. Accommodations were exactly as described and the space was clean and stocked with beach equipment. Check in was easy and communication with the host was prompt. We hope to return again in the future and would stay here if possible!

The home was fantastic! Location, great amenities, comfortable beds and furniture. Wonderful patios to relax on. Our fifth time staying in Poipu, and this was the best.

The VRBO was spacious, clean, and extremely well equipped. It had a chef’s kitchen, every beach Amenity you might need, and bicycles. The location is excellent, a quick walk to several beaches and trails. There was privacy for every guest. We can’t wait to return next year! We all had a wonderful time.

This house was wonderful in all ways for our multigenerational family. We had an infant and the house had all the baby equipment we needed. The house is very well stocked and we appreciated all the beach equipment- it was great! The neighborhood, was terrific.

In short, we were delighted with our accommodations and accessibility to all the beach toys and recreational opportunities. The care, the cleaninesss, and beauty of the home can’t be overstated. We spoke often about the location and how affords vacationers with abundant choices with activities, shopping, and dining. We’re already working on plans for next year to again stay at this house in Poipu. We couldn’t be happier, and more grateful.

We had the best time at Hale Poipu! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay close to the beach with plenty of room and amazing views. Our family (with teens & kids) couldn't have asked for a better stay. We loved spending time on the huge front deck with ocean views. The rooms were clean, spacious and the kitchen had great appliances with everything you could have needed. The kids loved having the bikes and beach gear right there and ready to use. So close to great restaurants and multiple beaches! Hosts had excellent communication and were very accommodating. Could not have asked for a better property or experience! We would love to come back again soon!

Everything about our stay was spectacular. The place was perfectly appointed exactly as stated online. The location was terrific - walk to just about everything you could want - beaches with sea turtles, monk seals, sunsets and surfing, Grand Hyatt luau and its amenities and swimming, tennis and pickleball if you wanted to. The host was very pleasant to communicate with. Wish we could visit this place every year!

Our young family of 5 (kids 6, 10 & 10) had a wonderful four days at Hale Poipu over my husband’s birthday. The house was as wonderful as we had hoped it would be. Our twin boys loved having their own space downstairs. The house was equipped with everything you could ever possibly want or need. The outside space was as awesome as the inside space and we spent more time at home than we had anticipated. My boys used the tennis club daily and the pool at Poipu Kai. We had a wonderful walk on the cliff trail to the cave and spent a morning at Waimea Canyon which was easily accessible and worth doing. I would recommend this place without question and we are already considering when we may be able to return. This property is top notch in every respect. We stayed with our kids, family and grandchild. Fantastic location - scenic and easy walks to the beaches. Beautiful home with plenty of comfortable space. In addition, this house had every amenity you could ask for - coolers, boogie boards, beach chairs, sand toys - they really thought of everything. We went to Kauai to celebrate our 20-year anniversary with our friends who were also celebrating their 20-year anniversary. Our stay was exceptional, and we will be back!

We had a fabulous week in Kauai with our two adult daughters, son (by marriage) and 18 month old grandson. Perfect location and perfect home. We had everything needed for cooking, baby and beach. Wonderful property! Couldn’t ask for anything more! Hope to be back soon for another stay at same home. Great communication for the few questions I had prior to our week. Highly recommend!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. Absolutely loved it! It is a short walk to Shipwreck beach which allowed us to watch a spectacular sunrise each morning. The owners of the property thought of everything - every kitchen utensil, dishware, spice, linens, beach chairs, etc. were present. Visible labels were clear and helpful. The outside shower was an awesome feature allowing us to clean up after a day at the beach before entering the home. There is the privacy of a lower level. Very clean. 100% would stay here again.

Great property with a great location!

This is the perfect home for a family of 8. First, the owners setup the rental with a keen eye for organization. Every area of the home had labels for where things were stored. The kitchen was fully stocked with equipment and utensils. Second was the natural beauty of the home and location. Walking proximity to shipwreck beach and Grand Hyatt. Our family spent most time on the partially covered deck attached to the upper floor. The bottom level was an en-suite perfect for our two children and parents. We would hope to stay at this rental during our next stay in Kauai!

Wonderful in every way! Hale Poipu is extremely well appointed and furnished, with very comfortable beds, nice linens, and top-notch appliances and kitchenware. Perfectly clean and well organized. The two masters upstairs are private, while still being just off of the high-ceilinged great room and upstairs lanai. While we didn't use it, the downstairs ohana unit is roomier than the photos might suggest, and the downstairs outdoor dining area is also very comfortable and nicely furnished. Fantastic location: a short walk to Shipwreck's Beach and the heritage coastal trail to the left (as well as the Grand Hyatt - we enjoyed the terrace for an early coffee), and the "greenway" walking path to Brennecke's / Poipu Beaches to the right. We also appreciated the owners' quick and friendly communication. We hope to return! Thank you.

We stayed at the house for a week with our 3 grown boys (all in their 20's). The house was perfect! Lovely home with everything we needed. The garage had all the fun beach stuff too! Would definitely return!

This is such a beautiful home in the perfect location! It was packed full of everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing week away with a little one, and just a short walk to the beach/pool/tennis courts. Communication with home owner and property manager was excellent. We will definitely be back!

This home set up was perfect for our family. The open kitchen and family room area separated the bedrooms which were on either side of the home. The lanai was partially covered with a sitting area and sunny in places for the 3 lounge chairs and a table.

My husband and I stayed in this beautiful home with two friends. The house is even more beautiful in person. Well appointed, easy to cook inside or grill, nice dishes and stemware, and the beds were even more comfortable than our beds at home. Soft luxurious sheets and down pillows. Property was perfect for our group of 6. Home was equipped with everything we would want. Loved how organized it was with everything easy to find. We enjoyed grilling some great dinners and cooking breakfast on the Blackstone. Landscaping was beautiful with a nice view of the ocean. We really liked Shipwreck beach it was never too crowded. Would definitely stay here again.

This is our second stay at this location and we enjoyed our vacation immensely. The house was wonderful in 2018 and is even better now in 2024, with AC in all the bedrooms and new, updated furniture. The location is convenient as it is close to sunny beaches and shops and restaurants and old Koloa town. From Poipu, you can watch the sunrise and sunset depending on whether you are at Shipwreck Beach or Poipu Beach. Kauai is our favorite vacation spot and the Poipu House is part of that reason.
