Hale Minoaka by Destination Kauai - Poipu Beach Estates Exquisite Cottage

This place was exactly as listed! Perfect in every way! The bikes, beach chairs, boogie boards were amazing additions! The outdoor shower was a huge plus! The clothes line in the garage is perfect for drying out swim wear and towels. The patio area is semi-private, but the neighbors are quiet, no one is around- so not an issue at all. Location is perfect! Close to beaches, food trucks, restaurants and grocery stores. Everything was conveniently located and nearby. Whether you wanted to walk or ride bikes or drive. Easy to get around and find what you need. The house itself is new and very clean. Kitchen fully stocked with what you’d expect, the linens and bath towels all good quality & beach towels provided. Which was really nice! Washer and dryer was another great perk. Super happy about our stay! Loved everything the property had to offer! Recommend 100%!

This house was located in a great spot to get around Poipu and local spots. It was clean, had great amenities and was a lovely little house to come home to after our adventures.

Very clean, location was great to walk to many options for stores, food and beaches. Plenty of space for two. Easy to drive to other attractions on the island. Host provided all the information we needed in very clear, advance communications.

Excellent lodging! We wished we could’ve stayed here. This was the perfect spot for us and our infant daughter. Clean and open layout. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need: Tupperware, utensils, cooking supplies, and other odds and ends. The garage space has a clothesline and beach gear. The outdoor shower is perfect for cleaning up after the beach or relaxing and watching the stars. There are 2 AC units: main area and bedroom. Both worked very well and cooled the space down quickly. Laundry (washer, dryer) was accessible and easy to use. Great communication from the host.

Such a lovely little house! And by far the most clean one we've ever had. We felt very comfortable. Everything was on par with the description and the pictures. The house is in a quiet neighborhood which suited us just fine but beaches, shops, restaurants are within walking distance and Koloa is only a short drive away. Communication with Destination Kauai before and during our stay was excellent. We had a minor problem and it was promptly seen to.

Very clean perfect size and great location.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights while we were on the south shore of Kauai and we absolutely loved it. They supplied chairs, snorkels, boards, and an umbrella for us to bring to the beach and the house was nice and clean. We went on a walk each morning we were there and felt so at home. We didn’t realize that there was no AC so we were caught off guard but thankfully they also had several stand up fans in the house! 10/10

Great house in a great location. House was very clean and well maintained. Provided beach gear was perfect to take with on the short drive or walk to the beach. Quiet neighborhood that is also very close to shops and grocery store. Will for sure stay again on my next Kauai trip.

Exactly what we looked forward to. Nice, quiet upscale neighborhood that is well located to beach & restaurants. Support was lacking on mattress. Other than that, it’s a cute and convenient place.

Very well appointed property - centrally located to many amenities in the Poipu area. The on-line descriptions are precise and we had no surprises. The house was essentially like new. Very quiet street, very quiet neighborhood.

This home has everything you need. It is small, clean and modern. The winds kept the place cool if the windows were kept open. Nice to have a garage with two bikes to cruise around with. The area is very quiet with beautiful homes.

We loved staying at Hale Minoaka. The location was absolutely perfect to get to all parts of the island . There were plenty of beaches,shops and restaurants within minutes.the home was beautifully decorated and had all amenities needed for a relaxing stay.

Very clean, well updated, cozy place. Really enjoyed the outdoor shower to rinse off sand from the long beach days. This place has everything we needed and has a great home feeling. The beach chairs, umbrella and bikes were a bonus. The only downside is the furniture wasnt very comfortable to lounge around, but that didnt break my stay for me.

Loved our stay! The place was private and quiet but close to everything in Poipu. The house was clean and updated. Checking in and out was a breeze. Made great use of the beach chairs and bikes provided. Would definitely stay here again!

The place was very clean and homey. We loved the bikes and beach gear in the garage. Outdoor shower was also a huge plus. Location is perfect. Close to the beach, shopping, and closer to Waimea than Lihue.

This was hands down the cleanest place we have stayed. Some of this may come from being a newer build, but they seemed to have amazing folk doing the cleaning and maintenance. There was zero signs of previous guests. Place very cute, neighborhood is great, friendly folk.

This is a very well maintained property that while not on the ocean is close enough to bike or even walk. This little house is located in a beautiful, upscale quiet neighborhood. Especially loved the outdoor shower and the table and chairs outdoors. This is a newer property and everything is in very good condition. We went on to Honolulu after our 5 night stay and are now regretting not staying longer at this property and in Kauai. Very relaxing!

Location was great. Close to many things. Cabin was clean and well kept. We were very happy with the property and its location.

Neighborhood is quiet, cottage is well maintained and modernized. No air conditioning, but if you keep the fans running and windows open while there it stays cool (even when it's up 90 degrees out!). It is a nice place for 1-2 people to stay around beaches and restaurants, but far enough away to keep things quiet and private!

Destination Kauai was the easiest rental properties to work with. Everything was set up as stated and we had access to more than we expected in the rental house. Kristen was always quick to respond. They know how to make you feel welcome and let you focus on your vacation. I would love to rent again with them in the future!

The house was very nice and we enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. It had a lot of items needed to enjoy our time in Kauai. We didn't spend a lot of time in the home but one recommendation would be to add a small air conditioner for the bedroom.

Quiet neighborhood with many cul-de-sacs; makes it perfect for a sweet bike ride with the bikes provided in the garage. The place is so clean and new. Just perfect. Slept with the windows open and awoke to the birdsong. We walked 10 minutes each morning to the Sheraton for breakfast which was fantastic. We stopped to view ocean afterwards. ❤️

Clean, modern, well kept, beach toys and bikes were a bonus, walk, drive or bike to beaches, multiple shopping and dinning opportunities close by. Don't want a resort... Stay here!

Located in an upscale community..close to all that is needed for a enjoyable stay in Kauai. The home itself is super cute and more than met our needs..in fact it exceeded them. Great memories are made from experiences like this one.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in April and enjoyed our stay! The place was clean and the hosts were very nice. They gave us a wonderful dinner recommendation and even gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate our honeymoon! The highlight of the accommodations was the two cruiser bikes available. They made it easy to bike down to the beach, grab some breakfast at "Little Fish" down the road, or explore the area. Something that we would have liked to have had with our accommodations was a few more smaller amenities. Things like a full spice rack, more cooking dishes, a full size shampoo/conditioner, sunscreen, etc... These were common items at some of our other stays in Hawaii and were anticipated when staying at a detached property with a full kitchen. Another thing to note is the privacy component of the stay. Personally, we did not have any issues with privacy, However, the cottage is a stand alone building that is surrounded by housing on all sides and you share the outdoor property with the host family. In my opinion, I think the listing does not accurately depict the level of development around the cottage. With that said, everyones definition/expectation of privacy is a bit different. Overall, we would recommend staying at the cottage!

We had such a wonderful stay here. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for you to cook. The bikes were awesome and the location is perfect. The neighborhood is BEAUTIFUL! I would for sure stay here again over a resort.

What a great little property. Architecturally the home is perfect, with a nice bedroom, living room area and a beautiful kitchen. My only disappointment is that we did not use the kitchen to cook up some of the amazing fresh fish and Okinawan sweet potatoes. Every incidental needed for our stay was there, soaps, tp, laundry detergent, etc...The neighborhood is around the corner from the main road but very quiet and a nice place to walk in the morning. It is centrally located to most of the things you want to do on the South shore. When we go back we would definitely pick Hale Minoaka. Be sure to check out Little Fish nearby for breakfast but be aware, the line forms early!

Loved the location, and the home was in a great neighborhood close to the beach. The bikes were a nice touch.

Beautiful house, convenient location for accessing anywhere on the island. We had a great stay.

We had an excellent stay at this VRBO. The house is lovely and just as described (no A/C but this didn’t really turn out to be much of a problem, they have lots of fans and it wasn’t too hot during our visit). Easy location to shops and beach, clear check in instructions. Very happy with our stay!

The house was cute and comfortable. It's located walking distance to two beaches. We used the bikes to ride out to Spouting Park to see the blowhole. It only took an hour and 15 minutes to drive to the Hanalei. It's really close to Waimea Canyon. The location is great. There's also some shops within walking distance. The price was reasonable as well.

We had a great stay here! Everything could need and closely located to many of the adventures we had planned on the island. Just the right size for a couple to stay!

Great location. Clean, comfortable place

This was the perfect spot for two people. It had everything we needed. A few things have changed from the photos. The beach chairs are now camp chairs and the bikes are single speed, back break cruisers. There also is no air conditioning but lots of fans. You are located right across the street from the Kola Landing Resort, which is beautiful to walk through on your way to the beach. We got a couples massage their and then had access to the pool and other amenities for the whole day. It was so nice to have a isolated place to stay that was quiet and private. Everything was nicely remodeled and very clean. They even had some Tupperware to store leftovers from cooking. Would definitely stay here again!
