Private Oceanfront w pool, hot tub, sunsets and Turtles

We stayed in Katherine and Dean's beautiful home with our family for the last week of March, 2025. We loved every minute of our stay. We anticipated a good stay, but it exceeded even our highest expectations. The BEST we have ever stayed in. Everything was clean, the furnishings perfect, and the views spectacular! The beautiful flowers in the garden caught our attention as we arrived.We got up in the mornings and enjoyed coffee on the patio or beach. They provided kayaks and paddle boards that allowed us to go out in the calm morning water off the beach too. We also enjoyed watching turtles every morning and evening on the beach!The kids (and adults) loved the pool with the built-in hot tub. The location was perfect, we were able to walk just a short distance to get ice cream or lunch! The grocery store is a 5 minute drive. We took several excursions which were just a 15-30 minute drive away. Katherine and Dean were great to answer our questions before the trip and we always knew they were just a text away while we were here!We had everything we needed and wanted! Perfection! We would definitely love to return someday!

What a fantastic property, the owners do an amazing job of thinking through anything anyone could need while in Hawaii. The home is located in the heart of Kihei, walkable to local beaches, restaurants and attractions. A short ride to Wailea and Lahaina, as well as the airport. In addition, the home is oceanfront, and you can literally never leave. It’s quiet and secluded, and the unique layout gives stunning views steps from your own private beach. Swing away the day in the hammock, jump in the pool or hot tub, and watch spectacular sunsets, humpback whales jumping in the distance, and lots of sea turtles swimming all around you. And having a dozen or so crawl up the beach each night is a sight to behold. The owners stock the home with plenty of linens, towels, beach towels, boogie, surf and paddle boards, umbrellas and chairs if you want to check out the other Maui beaches for the day. Kitchen is well appointed and has every piece of equipment needed. Plus they have apple tv’s in 3 rooms and lots of games for all ages. The house is incredibly clean and “new”. This was a real treat for our family of 5, including three teenage daughters. We highly recommend this home, it is a really special place. We hated to leave, 6 nights didn’t feel long enough!!

This is the first rental where our expectations were exceeded on every level. The pictures do not do the house justice. The view and location are stunning. And we have never had such gracious and helpful hosts. From initial communication after booking to service above and beyond while we were there, Katherine and Dean helped make this one of our best ever vacations. Five stars on every level, don't waste your money on the Wailea resorts when this gem is available. Thank you and can't wait to return.

It’s hard to describe how magical this place is…we stayed at Dean and Katherine’s beautiful home with 4 friends to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary and could not imagine a better experience. Between the gorgeous sunsets, the nightly turtle visits and the amazing gardens, it was truly a slice of heaven. The fresh lemons and bananas from the garden were delicious and of course the wonderful aroma from the night blooming jasmine reminded us every evening how special Maui is! We felt like we were in a tropical garden, yet shopping and restaurants were very close by. The home is spotless and well equipped and the beds very comfortable. The pool and spa were used constantly and it was great that they were protected from the afternoon winds. Dean and Katherine are perfect hosts and were very accommodating to any request…so glad we got to meet them. I highly recommend this beautiful property…you’ll love it! Thank you Dean and Katherine for your hospitality and sharing your amazing home…we can’t wait to return!

Our family of 6 travels every year to somewhere new. That may change after staying in this home in Maui - it was unlike any place we have ever stayed. The views are breathtaking. The pool is protected from any winds and is its own little private oasis. The home is spotless and Katherine & Dean are THE BEST hosts. Easy to walk to shops, restaurants , and the grocery store. We will be back!

Katherine and Dean's home on the beach in Maui is as private as it gets. No matter what your definition of heaven is, I am pretty sure this will exceed your expectations. From the beautiful and peaceful sunrise to sunset filled with resident turtles swimming ashore to stay the night, it's quiet and full of potential activities (SUPs, Kayak, snorkeling gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, etc). My family ranging in age from 19 - 70 yrs stayed and enjoyed watching the whales from both the patio and dining table while working a puzzle together and playing cards. The house is walking distance to starbucks, foodland and many great shops as well as a park and the Maui Sweet Shoppe. The pool and jacuzzi are smartly positioned in the interior courtyard to take advantage of in the afternoon and out of the wind. We played beach volleyball at one of the local sand courts and drove just 20 minutes to some of the best surf on the island (near Paia). Whatever your version of heaven is, this is it and Katherine and Dean are the angels... with quick responses and helpful hints to everything and anything that we needed. Dean and Katherine how can we thank you for our stay in your little peace of paradise? 1st rate hosts! The home was well supplied with necessities and more. The pool was so enjoyable! Beds are comfortable and ac in every room. House is close to many beaches and shopping. Oh and a large lemon tree in front yard to top it off. We hope to return some day 🌺🤙🏻

If there were more than 5 stars, I would give them to this amazingly beautiful place! It is like a secret garden paradise behind the beautiful entry gates, very private, relaxing and Zen. The plants, trees and flowers were breathtaking, along with the ocean views inside and out. We were in awe of the turtles on the very "private" beach out front, the pool/hot tub were in constant use when we were there. Our family of 9 consisted of 3 generations ages 12-64, we were celebrating 2 HS graduations, a 40th B-Day and an upcoming 45th anniversary and 65th B-Day. We loved this special property, there was plenty of room for all of us to be together yet have our own private space when desired. Our family all immediately felt very at home there. The home was very spacious, spotless, and well equipped, the Hawaiian decor was beautiful, the bedding was very nice. Oh, and the outdoor shower in the principal bedroom bath was so enjoyable! Dean and Katherine were awesome hosts, they went above and beyond to help make our vacation even more special, they were both easy and fun to work with and get to know. We highly recommend Hale Laulea, it was an absolutely wonderful experience, we will always treasure the memories we made there. I hope to visit again, hopefully during whale season! Aloha!

I can't say enough about how much we loved our time at this very special place. The location is close to shopping, beaches, restaurants, and a park with tennis courts and basketball. The view is spectacular! We often sat out front to watch the turtles come in and out of the ocean and enjoyed the relaxing hammock. The kids also loved swimming in the pool each afternoon after a day at the beach. The home is warm and inviting with amazing views from the master bedroom and a well-stocked kitchen. Dean and Katherine go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need for your stay. They are the best hosts we have ever had!

June 19 - 26, 2021 My first time renting a home. Actually, the first vacation for the entire family, which consisted of myself (grandma), my son, daughter in law, 3 grandkids. The home was perfect. On the beach and a pool. The kids swam all day. Actually, two of them really learned to swim and as the week progressed felt very comfortable in the pool. It was time for the rest of us just to relax. This location is a few blocks from shopping which includes food, nail salon, Starbucks and even a movie theater. Everything is very close, and yet the home's location is very private. In fact, a vehicle is really not needed. The real magic is the turtles. It is truly amazing. The huge turtles come to the beach to rest in the evenings. One evening we counted 14!!! In the morning they return to the ocean. It was lovely - greeting them every evening and waving goodbye each morning. Katherine and Dean live on the property in a separate home. They were a delight. Very helpful and yet we didn't see them very often. I will return, we all loved our first vacation in Maui!!! Gloria Webster
