Inside, the great room, wet bar, formal dining area, and generous kitchen are built for a real group meal. Kealakekua Bay, local restaurants, and South Kona coffee farms are a short drive away. For a reunion, milestone birthday, or multi-family escape, this home gives everyone a place to connect without leaving the view behind.
The Space:
At 6,400 square feet, this estate gives a large group room to breathe, with three bedrooms, three bonus sleeping quarters, and six and a half baths for up to 20 guests. The great room has cluster seating and a wet bar, while the formal table seats eight and the kitchen includes a broad island and six-person dining nook. Most days will naturally spill out to the pool deck and lanai.
Guest Access:
Guests at Bay View Farms Estate House enjoy access to a private pool, hot tub, and fire pit set amid coffee country above the Kona Coast. A garage, garden backyard, and patio or balcony add space to spread out. This estate home is well suited to large families and group gatherings.
The Neighborhood:
Captain Cook sits in South Kona coffee country, high above Kealakekua Bay on the Big Island's green western side. The area is rural and spread out, so plan on driving to farms, local markets, restaurants, and the bay. Kealakekua Bay is one of the island's well-known places for snorkeling, kayaking, and marine life, while coffee farm visits add a distinctly Kona outing to a beach trip. Nights are quiet and the sunsets are broad. It is a meaningful setting for a large family gathering that wants both ocean access and the slower pace of the Kona countryside.
Getting Around:
Kona International Airport is roughly 35 to 45 minutes away along the scenic Kona Coast. A rental car is essential here, as this upcountry coffee country community is spread out with beaches, shops, and dining a drive away. Kealakekua Bay and other snorkeling spots are a short trip down the hill. Parking is typically available on site with plenty of room at most homes.

No smoking inside or outside the property, no exceptions. This home is equipped with air conditioning. This home is very private, at least 150m from the nearest structure. Please note: reservations for this home will not be refunded if cancelled within 60 days of arrival.

This house is beautiful. Exactly as it looks in the pictures. Beautifully landscaped. Many exotic plants, waterfall, Koi pond. Great pool and hot tub area. Putting green. Lots of outdoor furniture with different places to relax. Great view of the ocean. Inside there many upscale details like hand carved doors, top of the line kitchen with everything you might need and more. There are 6 separate bedrooms. Each with its own bathroom, sitting area, TV. The house easily accommodated our group of 7 adults and 8 kids. We all had the best of time.
We had a wonderful relaxing stay, while also getting to see and do most all on our bucket list.Seeing the volcano the day after eruption, the green sand beach, black sand beach, parasailing, night swim with the manta rays, luau, seeing beautiful waterfalls near Hilo and so much more.
We loved the home, beautiful inside and out We were able to check a lot of things off our bucket list

This was the perfect stay for our group of 18. There was plenty of room in the house - rather than feeling crowded, it was hard to corral everyone to be in the same place at once! The view was stunning and beautiful and there were lots of activities on the estate and nearby for our group of all ages.
We went here to celebrate my 50th birthday this year and it was paradise. There was plenty of room and open space for my family of 15 and the view is just breathtaking!! We found gold on my golden birthday celebration and would recommend it to anyone!! Thank you!
The house was perfect for our group of 15. Plenty of space. The views were amazing. Nice to be away from the tourist crowds. Disappointed the air conditioning in main house and master suite was broken but property manager provided fans and the cool night air was refreshing. There was plenty of outdoor seating and pool toys and towels provided. The kids loved the infinity pool, hot tub and putting green. The whole house is a gem in paradise.
This gorgeous coffee farm estate was amazing! Peaceful and so quiet with all the amenities you could want or need. Plenty of room for an extended family of 14 to gather and have privacy when desired. The patio area with infinity pool, large hot tub, grilling area and comfortable furniture thrilled everyone. It was definitely the gathering spot, ready to use day and night. The dining areas indoors and out seated us all. WiFi extending through the entire house kept even the young members of the family satisfied. Puzzles and games were very nice for family time too. The KITCHEN! Wow! We all loved it, even those of us not too fond cooking and clean up. It truly was a place beyond our expectations. The local caretaking staff was so helpful getting us all settled in during the 1st couple days getting everything running smoothly for us.
From the moment we walked in the door and saw the beautiful view to the beautiful home. Everything worked great for our family of 17. Everyone was really sad to leave. Would highly recommend.
After reading all reviews all one has to do is experience this wonderful vacation home for themselves to come to a conclusion that it is better than one one can imagine or have described to them. We were lucky to stumble upon this paradise. What to mention 1st? The gorgeous view, sunsets, great and comfy accommodations, pool, hot tub, comfortable out door furniture, 3 hole putting green, fire pit, water features, well stocked home, being in the midst of coffee groves and fruit trees. We were sad to leave and hope to return.
