"The Fairways at Mauna Lani", is a private gated community of luxury homes on the Kohala Coast located inside the world-renown Mauna Lani Resort. The Mauna Lani Resort, also home to The Fairmont Orchid and the Mauna Lani, Auberge Resorts Collection Hotel are located 25 minutes north of the Kailua-Kona Airport.
Nestled along the stunning Kohala Coast and in the piko, or spiritual center, of five great mountains, Mauna Lani is a sacred oasis where generations of families and friends have made memories together on soulful lands once cherished by the greatest of Hawaiian royalty. Ring Doorbell located at the front door for your safety and to request any assistance if required!
The Mauna Lani Beach Club is one of the best kept secrets on the Big Island. This protected beach has a restaurant, Napua, that looks over Makaiwa Bay and historic Kalahuipua’a fishponds. Makaiwa Bay is protected by a cove where swimmers and snorkelers enjoy the calm waters and an abundance of tropical fish!
The surface waters of the open ocean around Mauna Lani range from 77 °F (25 °C) between late February and early April, to a maximum of 83 °F (28 °C) in late September or early October. With water temperatures this mild for hundreds of miles around, the air that reaches Hawaii is neither very hot nor very cold. The water temperature is wonderful for swimming year-round, bring your swim wear, and enjoy an experience of our slice of Big Island Paradise.
This home features two bedrooms and three bathrooms, approximately 1700 square feet of living space, in addition to two Lanai. Perfect for a small family on vacation or two couples.
The Fairways sports lava rock waterfalls, an outdoor jacuzzi/spa, and a free form pool with an attached kid pool. The jacuzzi/spa, pool, and air conditioned exercise room are a short walk, providing the perfect blend of convenience and privacy.

A walk south from the Fairways, leads to the The Shops at Mauna Lani, a unique shopping center featuring art galleries, gift stores, and a well appointed Foodland gourmet grocery store. While at The Shops at Mauna Lani, you may enjoy hula performances, live Hawaiian music, ukulele instruction and lei making classes.
Two fabulous gourmet restaurants are located in the resort; Brown’s Beach House and Tommy Bahama Restaurant and Bar. Have dinner or cocktails while watching the sunset at the Tommy Bahama Restaurant and Bar or Brown’s Beach House.
Enjoy drinks at the Fairmont's Ocean Bar, while watching the sea turtles come ashore on the white sand beach. The Fairmont Orchid has a fantastic beach, extremely kid friendly and offers many water sports activities for rent/purchase.
Two golf courses are available at the Mauna Lani Resort; The South Course, with its signature "over-the-water" 15th green, and The North Course, both designed by Francis H. I'i Brown. Several additional world-class courses are located 10 to 15 minutes from the home. At the Waikoloa Beach Resort, you can choose The Beach Course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. or The King's Course, designed by Tom Weiskopf. At the Mauna Kea resort you will find, a Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed course, and at the Hapuna Beach, an Arnold Palmer designed course.

As for Beaches, the Mauna Lani Resort offers a private "Beach Club", as a guest in the home, you have VIP drive in gate privileges. Two of Hawaii's infamous and fabulous beaches are a 5 minute car ride, South you will find Anaehoomalu Bay also know as "A" Bay, this perfect crescent shaped white sand beach, offers snorkeling, windsurfing, kayaking, and whale watching or you can simply relax under the shade of a palm tree. Located to the north, beachcombers and surfers alike, will enjoy Hapuna Beach next to Waialea Bay, a lively surfers beach next door to the Hapuna Prince Beach Hotel.
The well-appointed kitchen includes granite counter-tops, stainless steel appliances, rice cooker, blender, toaster, coffee maker/grinder, and complete cooking tools, ready for your time in Paradise!
The master bedroom and bathroom on the second floor, include a king-size bed, walk-in closet, flat panel LED-TV, island inspired ceiling fan, en suite bathroom with dual sinks, separate soaking tub, separate walk-in shower, and a sitting area, with a private Lanai.
In the guest bedroom, you will find a queen bed, flat panel LED-TV, island inspired ceiling fan, and an attached bathroom with a tub/shower.
On the first floor of the home in the living room, a queen size convertible sofa-bed can be used if desired.
During your stay in the home, boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs, and beach towels are available.

Nice location
We had an amazing stay at this comfortable and well appointed home. It had everything we needed from beach chairs to kitchen items. Mahalo to Mark for being an excellent host!
Wonderful place and lo ation was superb.
This was our 4th stay in this home. Everything was as we remembered, clean, comfortable, quiet, and had all the amenities we needed for our tropical get away. We love the area and location to the beach, golf and other activities is very convenient. We hope to return again soon!

The ad sounded wonderful…still it didn’t describe this home well enough..it was magnificent!!?Driving into the community was magical. Opening the front door and touring the home was amazing!The home was well appointed, and positioned for the most possible privacy and so very calming.Communication with the owners was easy and they were very responsive. The location was central and so easy to get around.We’ll be back!
The property owners have a lovely and comfortable property. One of the best equipped kitchens we have experienced. The lanai is the most secluded in the entire compound and most enjoyable for grilling and dining.
This is the third time my family or I have stayed in this lovely home. Mark is a great host who promptly answers any questions. Kitchen is wonderfully equipped, linens plentiful, and beach chairs, snorkel gear, cooler are provided. This Fairways location overlooks a large tropical garden and is a short walk to the pool making this house perfect for adults looking for quiet and also entertaining for the younger guests. Other area amenities include a handy grocery store and access to the "owners beach". We look forward to returning!
Beautifully furnished, short walk to pool (not heated) and hot tub with waterfall. Shortish walk to Foodland, Tommy Bahama Restaurant, coffee and other shops. Extremely comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen.
Our family had a wonderful stay at the Mauna Lani golf villas. The property was spacious, clean, comfortable, and well stocked. We especially loved the house tiki and personal touches throughout - it felt like a home. The lanai had lovely pool and garden views, and it was great to grill and relax at the outdoor table. The kitchen has everything you need, and we enjoyed making some great meals with local ingredients from the nearby marketplace. Having access to the Mauna Lani beach club was a great benefit that we used a lot. The private pool area that's right outside from the property was wonderful as well. We appreciated the updated laundry room and being able to refresh our beach towels and swimsuits that were getting funky while we stayed. A truly relaxing and wonderful stay on the beautiful Kohala coast. We hope to come back!

We had a great stay! Unit was clean and comfortable and had everything that we needed to enjoy our time on the island - cooler, beach toys and towels, chairs and umbrellas. My son loved being close to the pool. We’d definitely come back again!
I felt like I was being in a luxury resort. The accommodations were spacious, well cared for and clean and well equipped. I enjoyed the pool but would have liked to have access to the fitness center.
The condo is exactly as advertised and incredibly well equipped. The location is our favorite part of the island.

Nice selection of beach chairs and sunshades for visits to less developed beaches as well. Mark is a terrific host and makes sure guests have all questions answered and needs met. Honestly the most well stocked, accommodating home we have stayed in over the past 10 years. Great location, extremely well kept, and Mark was gracious and communicated promptly. Would definitely recommend and visit again.
We had an amazing time staying at this property for an extended trip. The property was beautiful inside and out and meticulously maintained. Our host was very welcoming and attentive. Mauna Lani is a great resort, so it’s in a very good location.
