Guest Access:
You will receive a link to an online guest book when it gets close to your arrival date. You will receive the link by email and text. The home has an electronic lock at the bottom level where the cars are parked. A code will be generated into your guest book just before your arrival day.
The Neighborhood:
Poipu Kai is a 70-acre resort community in Poipu. The community consists of seven condo developments with their own swimming pools, an 8-court Poipu Kai Tennis Club, a community pool and hot tub, and the beautiful Green Belt, garden paths connecting the areas of the resort. The resort is between the Hyatt and Shipwreck`s Beach to Brennecke`s and Poipu beaches. Restaurants to walk to are the Grand Hyatt Kauai, the Poipu Bay Golf Course, Kalapaki Joe`s, and Brennecke`s Restaurant.
Getting Around:
When visiting Kauai, we highly recommend renting a car to enhance your experience and give you the freedom to explore the island at your own pace. While there are other transportation options available, such as the Kauai Bus, it's important to note that the bus service may not run as frequently as you might expect.
Having a rental car allows you to easily access all the incredible sights and attractions that Kauai has to offer. From the stunning Na Pali Coast to the breathtaking Waimea Canyon, having your own transportation gives you the flexibility to visit these iconic locations on your own schedule.

PESTS:
Kauai is in a climate that is considered to be both tropical and within a rainforest category, known for its lush flora and fauna. The environmental factors create a situation where pests (insects) are nearly impossible to eradicate from every property constantly. Many bugs fly in when a door is open at night or are simply small enough to come in through screens on windows and sliding doors. For this reason, Koloa Kai engages regular quarterly pest control in every property to keep the pests at bay. Despite these efforts, it is possible to have pests in your property, and if that happens, Koloa Kai will take all measures possible as quickly as possible to mitigate any issues. Any monetary compensation, refunds or discounts will be given solely at the discretion of Koloa Kai and will only be available in situations where the company agrees that an infestation has occurred. Koloa Kai reserves the right to investigate and provide remediation of any pest issue. The mere presence of pests in the property shall not constitute grounds for monetary compensation.
30-DAY MAXIMUM RENTALS:
Koloa Kai LLC provides only short-term rentals with a maximum reservation of 30 days. Each reservation is fully documented and provides for a fixed date and time for check-in and check-out, rental rates, associated fees, and all other requirements required by local and state law. If a guest books consecutive reservations where the check-out and check-in dates are concurrent, then a cleaning fee will be assessed, and a Koloa Kai designated cleaning professional/inspector will have unrestricted access to the property for the purposes of cleaning and inspection of the property. During the time between reservations, described by the check-out time and check-in time specifically, the guests shall vacate the property so that the designated cleaning professional/inspector can conduct a full reservation clean and inspection in accordance with Koloa Kai’s standard practice. Guest access to the property shall be restricted specifically to the date/times of the reservation documentation and may not be extended upon verbal or text message confirmation.
Hawaii Laws require that GET (4.712%), Kauai TAT (3.0%) and TAT (11%) taxes apply to the cleaning fee.

We had a very relaxing stay. Plenty of room in the house, though the kitchen was a little small. The house and kitchen were fully stocked . Morning walks in thr cool weather were a highlight of the trip. We also loved the turtles and seals resting on the beach. Poipu never disappoints.
Would realy liked if there was better system of cooling then just fans. Home was very humid during the evenings. Airflow was non existent.
We loved the 1731 property. It was so suited for our family, so functional and so homely. Everything we needed was here and it was incredibly convenient to go to the beach.The host kept in touch with us so that we did everything right And we appreciated that as well. We would highly recommend this property to anyone!
The property was as described. If I could change any one thing it would be having air conditioning! Although the property has many windows and the winds in the Poipu Beach area never let up during our stay, the temperature in the house generally never dropped below 80 at night. The property managers were extremely prompt on communications during our stay. We even had a non-property related need and they were able to assist us! We are very thankful for their help. The property had everything we needed for our stay, including beach chairs and boogie boards and a wagon which got plenty of use! The location was ideal for us. We made many trips to Koloa Town and the north side of the island never took more than an hour to get to. Watching the sunrise at Shipwreck Beach and watching the turtles come to shore at Poipu Beach in the evenings was a highlight for us!
Clean place. Had beach supples there. When there was an issues they had it repaired the next day with no issues. Place was convenient to get to and very close to the beach. Quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend.
We absolutely loved the Daydream Believer. Big and open and a nice view of the mountains. Close to everything you need and more.
The location was so great! And there was plenty of room for our friends/family group of 13. The only thing was that we didn't seem to have enough sheets for the pull out couches, and we would have liked to have a few more towels. But overall, it was a fantastic stay, with beautiful beaches within walking distance.
Property is plenty spacious for our family of 12. Location is within 5-7 minutes walking distance to Shipwreck’s Beach and very close drive to Poipu Beach. The kitchen is fully equipped; plenty of electric fans and ceiling fans for ventilation. Our stay was comfortable and there were beach toys, umbrellas, chairs, water shoes etc available to use. The kitchen is fully stocked. When we were there, however, the dishwasher didn’t work so that was a bummer, and a replacement dishwasher was not available right away. I think that problem should be fixed by now. Refrigerator’s water and ice dispensers were not working either, but we made do. Kauai is a beautiful place and Poipu Beach was exceptional for the little ones. Our stay, overall, was positive. Kōloa Kai property management was exceptional! They were easy to communicate with!
Great house for large group, no ac but with weather during end of December was fine.
If you’re looking for a quiet neighborhood close to shopping restaurants and the beach this is definitely the spot. Very peaceful property, nice sitting area in the back, beach is 5 min walk to see beautiful sunrises.
The location was great and the house was excellent for large groups. We had 9 people there and the space was great!
We stayed here with my sister and all of our kids. This place was so clean and had everything that you could think of. It is close to all the beaches. We loved it here.
Best stay ever!
We loved our stay in this beautiful home. It was the perfect place for our big family trip with 6 adults (three couples) and 3 kiddos of tween and teen ages. Rooms and bathrooms were great, kitchen had more than everything we needed for cooking at home, and we really appreciated the extra beach equipment like chairs, umbrellas and toys we could grab from the garage. The home suited all of our various needs, and we so enjoyed our stay! We had no issues at all. Clean home, excellent directions provided for check in and check out. Fantastic, central location near Poipu Beach, restaurants, and shopping. Walking trails were fun to be able to access the neighborhood pool and stroll over to the Grand Hyatt property. Gorgeous grounds and wonderful experience!
