Crater 26 by Destination Kauai - Close to Poipu Beach

Very nice unit. The townhome was very clean, updated, and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beach gear was more than expected.

The place was clean and had all that we needed. They were very responsive when there was a power outage. It was restored quickly. I would recommend this place to friends.

We loved this place. It was our first time staying on the south end of the island and this was perfect. Everything are needed to stay in and cook, or had out to the beach for the day.

We loved the layout of the place. Was perfect for 4 people. Our favorite part was having our morning coffee and breakfast sitting outside on the lanai. Great location only 10 minute walk to beach and sea turtles. Had everything we needed. Would def stay here again!

Everything was perfect for our stay! Location was great, had everything you could possibly need for a beach day and to cook meals in the kitchen. They were very accommodating whey we asked for a late checkout. We would absolutely stay here again. Mahalo!

The hosts, Jeremy and Kristen, are excellent….really better than excellent! From my first question to contacting them upon arrival, they always responded very quickly! The property is comfortable. We had everything we needed, although some items need replacing. Traveling from the Continental US, I wasn’t sure if there would be ample supplies but there was and we appreciated that. The rental was a little bit hard to find in the dark but we managed. Poipu Beach is definitely walkable if you are okay with hills which we all were. It’s about a 1/2 mile. The rental had all the necessary beach items as well. Pool was nice. There are grocery stores about 3 miles away. One bedroom/bath is downstairs and one bedroom/bath are upstairs. The area is very quiet. Also, there’s a dedicated parking space. With a little TLC this rental would definitely be 5 stars, but I would definitely rent here again!

Nice location. Quiet community. Nice private and clean pool. Beds and bathrooms were nice. Kitchen could use a deep clean, otherwise this would have been a 5 star rating.

Our stay has been great - our host is kind and responsive - location is great, you can easily navigate from here to all things Kauai - the accommodations are cozy and comfortable - evenings on the lanai under a sky lit up by full moon silhouetting the palm tree frond's accompanied by birds songs and a gentle breeze was lovely - beach gear is provided for spending time on the beach…So whatcha waitin for!?! The crater is calling ya!

The bedrooms were clean and good size. Kitchen had all the appliances and kitchen tools needed. Plenty of towels. Pool was a nice plus. I loved the lanai. Great for reading and sipping wine. Being close to Kalapaki Joe's made it perfect!

The VRBO was very clean and had all the supplies needed for a long weekend. Host was very attentive whenever something was needed. Would stay here again. Mahalo!

The location was very private and quiet, with easy access to the beach, local restaurants and attractions. We would have enjoyed better outdoor lighting when returning in the evening along the upper sidewalk. The home was outfitted with everything you could need during your stay. The beds were very comfortable. We appreciated the beach chairs, cooler and umbrella on our day trips. We enjoyed the lanai every morning listening to the birds and rustle of the trees in the breeze. We also found the pool refreshing and surrounding area to be very clean. Destination Kauai was very communicative and we have recommended this location to our friends. Would definitely stay again on our next trip to the beautiful island of Kauai.

Very well appointed place, which we appreciated! The breeze was lovely and we didn't miss having air conditioning. Quiet location close to Poipu beaches and within short drive to groceries. Pool was pleasant! Our family of four had plenty of space and we loved the airy upstairs bedroom. Communication with the hosts was prompt. Overall great!

Our stay at this location was greatly enjoyed and one of our favorites out of the 4 places we stayed during our vacation to several of the Hawaiian Islands. It was a beautiful space located amongst tropical plants and flowers. We woke every morning to the birds and crowing rooster (but he didn't bother us, it was just part of the ambiance.) The ceiling fans along with the trade winds kept our time in the condo cool and comfortable. There was ample space for our group and we were more than relaxed and happy to end our evenings in such a nice space. The bed and pillows were soft and cozy, typically I have a difficult time sleeping when away from home, but not here, I slept soundly. I also enjoyed being able to walk to Poipu beach every morning during my stay, definitely a highlight of the area. I would recommend anyone staying at this location to arrive during daylight hours, at least initially, as it makes it easier to locate. We had a wonderful stay at this location and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful stay. Mahalo!

Great place to stay in Poipu! Condo had everything we needed - except A/C. I am sure it said it somewhere in the description but I missed it. It doesn't really cool down much, especially upstairs, so keep this in mind when booking. The crater area is beautiful and quiet! Enjoyed mornings on the porch!

We will stay here again. Loved the fact that it was not right in the tourist area. The times they stated to get to the beach were not correct if you were walking.

We loved this condo which was close to Poipu and the beach! Everything was clean, nice furniture, wonderful deck, and great kitchen and necessities! We would definitely come back again. Thanks so much!

This is a nice clean comfortable unit with a beautiful well sheltered lanai that gets the morning sun, wonderful breakfast spot. We didn’t realize when we booked it but the name does hint at the fact that you are really in a crater. The turn off the street into the complex drops probably about 30 feet to your parking spot, then there is maybe 12-15 foot climb back up the sidewalk to get to the unit. We are able bodied so it wasn’t that big of a deal but we had planned on doing a little more walking from the unit to the beaches and shops. We ended up driving most places instead. This unit is pretty good value for your dollar I think with somewhat dated fixtures and furnishings but it was comfortable and functional. There was a shortage of Kleenex, garbage bags and no sink stopper for the kitchen sink and it seems the towels had been put away while still damp by the cleaners before our stay, so those were down points but all around we were quite satisfied.

Great position for Poipu beach and exploring the south of the island. Very well equipped kitchen. Cottage is close to the pool with views from a spacious balcony.

10 minute walk to the beach. Nice secluded complex with swimming pool and grills. A very peaceful location.

Perfect place to stay. An hour to the north shore or to the state park. Worked well for us. Thanks for the great place.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at crater 26! The house was just as listed. We arrived to a clean, bright and spacious place to call home for a week. We had everything we needed in the kitchen for cooking as well as cleaning. There was plenty of laundry soap and towels. We appreciated the extra box fans to help circulate that warm Hawai’i air. The upstairs (master) room was very spacious with a comfortable king bed and beautiful furnishings. We didn’t use the downstairs bedroom as it was just the two of us, but that was a beautifully made room as well. The pool area was a wonderful quiet and clean space to lounge in the sun and read. The loungers were very nice and the layout provided plenty of personal space. Check in/check out was easy. Thank you Jeremy for providing a wonderful home away from home for our week long kid free vacation. Would recommend crater 26 to friends and family if planning a visit to Kaua’i!

We liked the stay here a lot. It's a nice House in a quiet area with the pool just opposite and close to The poipu beaches.

Everything about this unit was amazing.. its perfectly located on top of the crater where you get a cool breeze in the afternoons and nights that keeps it nice and cool..a short walk to many beaches and restaurants and the pool is a perfect place to unwind and take a dip..only issue we had is with the HOA’s wife, she’s very quick to call you out and judge you, even if it was someone else that does something..she’s quick to make it awkward..other than her, it’s a great place, just don’t sneeze to loud, you’ll get in trouble

No ac needed with the beautiful trade winds! Some hills to tackle but only .6 miles to Brennecke’s and Poipu Beach. Nice walking path around the corner connected us to these beaches or Shipwreck Beach the other direction. We had everything we needed for our stay provided at this nice condo.

The location is perfect! A quick run to Costco isn't too far away, and beautiful beaches are only a short walk or drive. We really enjoyed the beach chairs, boards and snorkel gear in the condo. Peaceful and quiet meals out on the lanai were a relaxing part of our trip. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and wanted. Would absolutely stay here again!

We really enjoyed staying at Crater 26! It’s a unique setting very close to the beach and area restaurants. Highly recommend!

Quiet, clean cottage in the crater. Some issues with the freezer being loud & not working, but the managers were quick to respond. Close to everything in Poipu.

The master bedroom and the lanai are outstanding.

It's very jungley like. You can hear tons of birds and roosters. We loved it, some might not. It's a little uphill to get to the condo but not to bad. There's a pool, ping pong table and grills right outside the building. It's a short walk to the beach about 10 to 15 min. Short drive to shops and restaurants, about 5 min. We ould definitely stay there again. Uber is hard tonget around in. Rental car is strongly suggested.
