Welcome to Cooks Landing! A 3 bedroom 2 bath ground floor luxury villa (18H) in the prestigious Hali'i Kai gated condominium community of Waikoloa Beach. Includes gourmet kitchen, full sized washer and dryer, detached garage plus another reserved parking space. Access to fabulous private Ocean Club facility (pool, hot tub, exercise cabana, bar and restaurant) that sits right on the water with spectacular views. Private tennis and basketball court. A great paradise vacation condo for couples and families with kids!
Beach accessories (beach towels, sand toys, umbrella, chairs, etc) are available for guest use at the condo. But if you lose it or misuse it, please replace it! There are two flat-screen TVs with cable service and complimentary wifi service; elegant dining table with seating for up to 6 people plus additional 4 bar stools; gourmet granite countertops and stainless-steel kitchen with African mahogany cabinets; covered lanai with alfresco dining table for 4 and a private gas BBQ; full size washer-dryer in a separate laundry room right in the unit; and a designated parking space steps from the front door, right by the tennis and pickle ball courts and basketball hoop.
The Ocean Club, Hali'i Kai's exclusive oceanfront owner's club, with 180-degree views of the Pacific Ocean, perfect for viewing the migrating whales, occasional canoe races, as well as the breathtaking sunsets. The Ocean Club features a large black bottom lagoon-style, multi-level swimming pool with a soothing waterfall and a heated lava rock spa with a sandy bottom. There is also a poolside bar and grill, and outdoor covered lounge area along with a do-it-yourself BBQ area. And you'll almost forget you're working out while watching TV or gazing out at the azure blue sea while the waves crash on lava rock at the state-of-the-art Exercise Cabana. During the migrating humpback whale season (November-April), you will enjoy a front row seat as these magnificent mammals hug the coastline offering a perfect viewing location. With 340 sunny days a year and less than 10 inches of annual rainfall this is the ultimate place to relax. Upon arrival, you will need to check in at the guest cottage and pay $25 per day resort fee for your entire party to enjoy unlimited access to the Ocean Club. Open from 8am to 8pm for swimming, sunning, and serving lunch, happy hour, and dinner daily.

Waikoloa Beach resorts boast of the Kings and the Queens Shops with their world class shops and restaurants. Famous Anaeho’omalu Bay, better known as A’Bay, is a beautiful, crescent shaped white sand beach, only 1.5 miles away, a very short drive or a 20 minute walk. From the Ocean Club, a black sand beach is about a 10-15 minute walk to the north and the Hilton resort complex with its beach, lagoon, and dolphin swim area is about a 10-15 minute walk to the south. Of course, there are several other wonderful beaches like the world famous Hapuna Beach a short drive (20 minutes) up the coast.
From Kailua-Kona (KOA) airport, you will want to rent a car. The condo is about a 30 minute easy drive from the airport.

Fabulous stay, the townhome was just as described. We enjoyed all the amenities and the Sunsets from the Ocean club were some of the BEST I have seen! Definitely recommend and hope to visit again!
We loved our stay at Cooks Landing. Great location and resort amenities. Owners were easy to talk to and responsive. Great value for money and excellent layout for our family of five adults. The only negative was the stained/dirty carpet. I would suggest perhaps it needs a good deep clean or taken out altogether and replaced with low maintenance tile but overall a very clean unit. We would definitely recommend this place and stay again.
We have stayed at many a unit in Hali’i Kai. Cooks Landing, unit 18h, did not fail to impress. Our stay was very comfortable, our host was responsive if we had any questions and the home’s location by the tennis courts and putting green was very convenient. The home had everything you would need in the kitchen and the bathrooms had toiletries and extra stuff in case you forgot something. The pool and clubhouse restaurant on the grounds is a huge bonus if you don’t want to cook. The restaurant’s menu is full of tasty entrees! If this home is available for our next trip I will definitely book it!
We loved the Cook Landing unit! We particularly enjoyed having garage access. We appreciated the use of the beach chairs. The “Whale TV” was phenomenal at the Ocean Club! We grilled out one evening on the lanai and were happy the grill fired right up! Overall a great experience and wish we could have stayed longer.
We had a wonderful stay at Cook’s Landing! We’ve been to Hali’i Kai several times and Cook’s Landing provides everything you need. The condo is well furnished, the beds are comfortable and they have all the beach items you could need. We are looking to book here again next year!
We really enjoyed our stay! The house is located in the beautiful Waikiola resort area and the house is well stocked with kitchen items, towels and lots of beach items. Kristi and Jim are extremely communicative and welcoming. I hope to return to the Big Island again soon and would love to stay at Cooks Landing again!!
Pool area was great.
The condo was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed to cook our meals. We also enjoyed dining at the Ocean Club which had friendly service and reasonable prices. Hali'i Kai is a beautifully maintained property and great home base for exploring the island. Definitely recommend.
Ocean Club fees at $ 20 (now $25) per day was excessive . Pool was not very clean. Did not use it because of that. Ocean club Cafe service and food was good. Seating and comfort was lacking in living room. Living room could use a make over. Overall we were satisfied with stay.
This property was WONDERFUL! The hosts are so accommodating and beyond easy to communicate with. My family loved the pool restaurant and the sunsets while watching the whales. If you have kids this rental is for you! So many beach chairs and toys for you and your family to use. When we come back to the Big Island we will 100% stay here again and recommend it to all our friends.
