Guest Access:
This standalone villa in Princeville gives guests a private entrance and beach access just moments away, with mountain and sea views from the grounds. Outdoor seating and nearby shopping round out the setting. There is no shared pool at this property.
The Neighborhood:
Princeville is a scenic North Shore community above Hanalei Bay, where ocean views meet green mountain slopes. Nearby paths lead toward Hideaways Beach and the Princeville Resort beach area, while Princeville Center is within walking distance for restaurants, shopping, and everyday supplies. Anini Beach is close for a calmer-water snorkel, and Hanalei's broad beach and local-town character are down the hill. It is an easy base for guests who want the flexibility of beach paths, golf, meals out, and the option to do very little at all.
Getting Around:
Lihue Airport is about 40 minutes away via a scenic drive along Kauai's coast. A rental car is highly recommended since the North Shore's beaches, restaurants, and Hanalei's shops are spread out. Princeville itself offers walkable access to some shops and dining, while beaches like Hanalei Bay are a short drive. Parking is typically available in lots or driveways at most properties.

Love our time in this one! A perfect basecamp for north shore adventures on Kauai and right across the street for stunning ocean views and a close hike down to excellent snorkeling. My favorite part was the deck and the colorful birds that came to visit each morning.
Nice views of the rainforest and beach. Access to path for running or walking. Princeville is definitely for the early birds - lots of active people as the sun comes up - no night life! Perfect for us. Just across the street from a spot many visit to watch the sunset or look for whales. Had everything we needed to cook and do laundry. Nice amount of space for our little family. Only downside is the place is clearly old and could use some updates. The doors are very loud when opening/closing them!
The location was amazing however some things were broken/torn such as upholstery on the furniture and there was a dangerous outlet on the lanai that was burnt out. During the last part of our stay there was a plumbing issue leading to a huge leak resulting in plumbers having to come and fix it and we spent two nights with a very loud construction fan going all day and night to dry the leak and water damage. Two of the three toilets were not working during this time. The vacassa contact was quick to respond when we had a question. It was just a lot to go wrong with expensive lodging. We’ve been coming here for close to ten years and always stay at rentals and have not yet experienced anything like this.
Due to late booking, we used three locations for our vacation which actually worked perfectly as we focused our outings by area. This location in North Shore was by far our favorite. The highlights were right across from the most amazing sunset, while the other side of the house had complete opening into the views of the mountains, which came with rainbows and numerous birds. Absolutely perfectly clean, everything worked very well, we even got to use the grill on one of the nights on the balcony, which was very convenient and homey. Also best of all, we were able to walk to the best snorkeling beach on Kauai in our opinion which was Hideaways beach. Also a lovely walk to the 1 Hanalei hotel and its restaurant as well as lovely views into the Hanalei Bay. Look forward to going back. PS the washer/dryer were perfect for the Red dirt there :)
We enjoyed staying at the property. The location and views are what makes this place so nice. Easy access to North shore attractions and food as well as great views of the mountains and a view of the water from the kitchen table. Perhaps a bit of paint touch up needed in a few spots, but overall a great place to stay.
This rental exceeded our expectations! They had everything you needed, plus some! It was even better than the listing showed!
The best part about this property by far is the beautiful view of both the ocean and mountains. The property is cozy, comfortable and clean. Parking was easy, and right across the street is a great ocean lookout spot.

Comfortable beds, nice view and location. Kitchen is minimally stocked with items needed to cook. Unit has only one good beach chair. The wall decor and mirrors looks tired and needs updated. Night stands look bad and need replaced.
The accommodation was perfect. This inside space, the lanais, the location were excellent. I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. I would stay there again
Friend and I stayed 3 nights here after staying in a little old house in Hanalei bay for 3 nights. We absolutely loved this villa for it's breathtaking views, balconies, gorgeous bedrooms, jungle noises, and location across from the ocean bluff with wonderful sunsets. It was roomy, especially for the two of us, clean, and nicely appointed. True, no a/c which would have been great, but for us the fans were fine. You have to make your way though a golf course and other lodgings, but this one feels very private and safe. I would book this place again and stay longer. Thank you managers and owners, please send me a discount code and I'm coming back next year for at least a week!!! 100 percent recommend.
