Coco Cottage at Poipu Beach - 2BR/2BA, Luxury Home

A beautiful charming home that felt very private, yet was close to the beach and very accessible. The nicest VRBO we've ever stayed in and would highly recommend.

The Coco Cottage was impeccable. From the moment you walk in you are in awe by the quaint and stunning styling of the home. From the welcoming gifts, to the amazing amenities it has easily become our favorite place to stay in the Poipu area! The proximity to Brenneke's Beach is also one of the best.

Everything was in pristine condition. The owners quickly addressed any concerns. It felt like a home and not just a house. The trade winds cooled the house off quickly. Amenities were abundant and location was perfect. Will return!

This house was very well equipped with everything we needed. It was so wonderful to sit out on the back lanai to enjoy a meal or just relax. The house is so cute and comfortable we cant wait to come back

We had an amazing stay! Joan and Rick were wonderful hosts and had quick and thoughtful communication throughout our stay. The house was incredible and a short walk to the beach. Everything was extremely clean and well thought out with everything you could possibly need. We would love to return one day!

Truly lovely house with cozy rooms, plenty of fans, efficient AC, a cook’s kitchen, and a fantastic loving vibe. Very short walk to Puka dog, Brennecke beach (and restaurant), and shopping center with bakery, coffee, sushi including a small market for essentials. Dying to go back!

Lovely home, just right for family of 4. Magnificent mango tree in the back, dropping fruit on the daily. Walking distance to the beach. AC in the bedrooms was not bad either!

This was our second stay at the Coco Cottage and it did not disappoint! In addition to the perfect location 5 minute walk from the beach, the house is exquisitely appointed with everything needed for a great vacation, even including beach supplies such as chairs, umbrellas, and toys! We hope to return a third time some day!

Everything at Coco Cottage was so well thought out and even better than I could have imagined. Hosts were communicative and responsive and we had the most relaxing time.

This was our second time staying at Coco Cottage and it was outstanding. Our first stay was in 2019 for two weeks. This stay in 2025 was for a month. Picking Coco Cottage for this extended time was perfect. The house has everything we needed with many personal touches. I loved drinking my evening cocktail out of the antique Hula Girl glasses. Joan and Rick were kind and attentive without infringing. They brought us flowers and mangos from the tree. They responded quickly during all communications. The experience was outstanding. M&J

Our stay at Coco Cottage was exceptional. The beauty of the property with hidden Gems of Orchids brought peace and relaxation on the lanai.We were very comfortable! The kitchen is well equipped with everything you would need. Umbrellas and chairs for the beach were also provided. The location is great! It is an easy walk to Poipu beach where we enjoyed watching the turtles. The Hosts were very responsive, welcoming, and have thought of everything for a home away from home. We would come back!!

This house is exactly what it looks like except even better. It is fully equipped, comfortable, great location. The back deck is so inviting we sat there for many hours. I would definitely stay here again. It is a comfortable walk to the beach and restaurants. Great home.

I stayed here with my family for my brother’s wedding and we had an absolutely wonderful time. This house is stunning and has such a welcoming feeling. The house was clean and stocked with everything we needed. The hosts were very responsive and so welcoming as well. We would love to stay here again!

We have rented vacation homes all over the world and this was one of the best. It’s located in a touristy area, but is tucked away and private. Everything was extremely clean and well-appointed. Just up the street from Brenneke’s beach where dozens of sea turtles swam in every night to rest.

This property is beautiful and so close to the beach. Just a short walk. The inside of the house is impeccably done and everything you need is there. The beds were very comfy and the vibe is pure aloha. We definitely would stay there again. Mahalo

We loved staying at Coco Cottage, just a short walk to the beach for fun in the sun. The hosts are wonderful, and we absolutely loved this charming place-- especially the lanai and the "oasis" in the backyard-- very lush and beautiful, and relaxing to just wake up and listen to the morning birds. We will definitely return!

Just imagine a rainy afternoon on Kauai, sitting on a lanai overlooking a lush, green and orchid filled backyard, reading your book. When the rain stops you walk a block to the beach and see the sunset over the turtles. Fresh Mahi Mahi and a Mai tai at Brennecke’s, and settle into your comfortable bed with en-suite baths Perfect stay.

Really enjoyed our stay in a nice part of the island. Co co cottage was ideally positioned close to the beach and restaurants. The island has lots of chickens. They can be noisy at night and need serious culling.

This is a gem of a property! Spacious, bright, airy, great common areas, incredibly well-equipped kitchen. Layout worked well for our family of two couples. Communication with the owners was excellent. Two fabulous beaches, and lounging sea turtles, are an easy walk away; glorious sunsets a block down the road. I recommend it enthusiastically!

As you swing the charming front gate open be prepared to fall in love with this sweet little cottage. We loved Joan and Rick’s charming home! It was cozy and well appointed. The backyard porch was so peaceful and beautiful! We would highly recommend this home and location. Wish we could have stayed longer!!

Everything you need for a lovely vacation, easy walking distance to Brenneke and Poipu Beach.

Every single thing about this house was Hawaiian perfection. The location is so close to the best beach on the island, we were able to walk there every day. It was spotless. Beautifully decorated and appointed! Highly recommend! Worth every penny!

This Ohana is perfect. Has all the amenities that one needs to enjoy the stay. Morning walks to the beach started our day out wonderfully.

This home is beautiful! We loved taking the beach chairs and cooler down to Poipu beach for picnics using the wagon! They really had everything we needed, and we felt so welcomed. We will stay here again if we come back to Kauai!

Wonderful and spotless cottage with every amenity in a perfect location!

We stayed here two years ago for the first time and fell in love with this charming cottage. We knew that we would return because it is so lovely. (Please see our review dated 11/7/22). It has been beautifully maintained and the owners are wonderful. On our first night, one of the showers was not working properly. We reached out to the owners and they were here to address the issue within 30 minutes. It goes without saying, we hope to return to beautiful Coco Cottage the next time we’re in Kauai!

Cozy cottage that is short waking distance to beach. Location is fantastic! Quite area and cottage is spacious and well equipped. Lanai is comfortable with beautiful backyard. Owners are caring and responsive. We had such a wonderful time at Coco Cottage!

The property was just as the description and photos showed, in a wonderful neighborhood that we have stayed in several times! A short walk to the beaches and daily stroll to watch the sunset. The peacefulness and beauty of the back porch and yard are even better than pictured. My only suggestion would be to add a hammock and some lounge chairs to make the backyard even more blissful...but that's just a tiny wish, everything was wonderful and the hosts so kind and thoughtful!

Will definitely stay at Coco Cottage the next time we visit Kauai.

This is a beautifully updated, thoughtfully designed and decorated rental. The house has a beautiful backyard to enjoy, along with a shaded lanai. We had everything we needed during our stay. Within super close proximity of the beach, and shops this is a fabulous rental.

Coco Cottage has everything you need for a relaxing stay and is just down the street from Brenneke beach and Poipu beach. We loved having breakfast & dinner on the back porch. The backyard is beautiful and feels like a private garden full of beautiful flowering and fruit trees. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to prepare meals and a nice outdoor grill. The cottage is equipped with everything you might need. It is like staying at a friend’s house. We loved our stay at Coco Cottage and would love to stay there again on our next trip to Kauai. This was our second stay at the cottage. We felt right at home and appreciated the fully stocked house (kitchenware, dishes, basic spices & pantry staples, beach gear, towels, cooler, sand toys, sunscreen, etc). You cannot go wrong with this property if you’re looking for a lovely place near a beautiful beach. The delicious mango tree was a bonus and we enjoyed having mangos with breakfast every day. Owners are great and very responsive.

Over the past 20 years, we have stayed in many properties throughout Kauai and Coco Cottage was one of the very best. We loved the convenient location to Poipu Beach and the designated driveway, the decor was tastefully beach, the covered lanai perfect for sitting or dining outside, and the breeze through the cottage was heavenly. The cottage has everything you need, and the bedroom AC was much appreciated at night. We were also fortunate enough to meet Rick and chat with him for a while. We couldn't be more pleased with our choice and hope to stay again one day.

We love this home! We arrived in May. Beautiful, quiet and cozy place. Perfect for a small intimate family gathering. The backyard and landscaping was so beautiful. The covered lanai offers a peaceful second room to the home to enjoy lively conversation and backyard games. Great location with the ocean just down the way . It’s in close proximity to Poipu Beach. Saw lots of turtles and monk seals. Home was a well stocked kitchen. Easy to follow directions regarding the use of the house and everything was well marked. Owners left a personal note which was appreciated. Great experience! Highly recommend. Coco is cuckoo for Coco Cottage!

Joan and Rick have an amazing home, in the perfect location with all the kitchen and beach amenities you will need. We enjoyed the awesome patio for morning coffee and winding down every day. I would definitely recommend this property for the perfect Kauai vacation!!!

Great home away and location! We stayed with friends for 2 weeks. It was a lovely place to be. Walked to the beach every morning to see the turtles and sometimes monk seals.

Cute, clean and convenient! Adorable Hawaiian decorated cottage. We stayed with another couple for four nights and wish it had been longer. Peaceful lanai and back yard. Generous and thoughtful welcome basket. Couldn't be better!

This is a wonderful property-exactly as described. Open, airy floor plan with lovely decor and exceptionally well-stocked kitchen. Bedrooms are spacious with great closet space and plenty of hangers. :-) The spacious lanai is a fantastic place to relax, read and listen to the birds. Beach wagon and supplies were such a plus! Joan and Rick were professional, welcoming and so easy to communicate with. We had a question about the stove and got an immediate response with Rick coming over that day to help us. Thank you for a fabulous stay- We will definitely be back!
