The “Blue Wave” is an amazing North Shore house in an amazing location. One of my friends said, “There’s no place in the world that I’d rather be than right here!” In September, 2025, the beach was clean and the surf was 2-8 feet every day. There are always a few surfers and beach walkers, but we felt like the beach was our own. Every day, you get to wake up and have a perfect view of the Pacific Ocean. The house is clean and perfect for a large family or a group of friends. All the appliances work as well as the air conditioning, internet, and cable TV. (The jetted tub does not work, and there are a few paint dings and minor things that I informed the property manager about.) There are lots of fun things to do, and you’ll see plenty of wild animals. (We saw giant sea turtles, a monk seal, dolphins, and tons of fish. On land, we saw wild pigs at night.) At night, you can capture incredible pictures of the stars. Overall, this is a great property, and I highly recommend it. Thanks!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic house in Hawaii, and for surfers like me, it’s an absolute gem. The location is pure perfection – I couldn’t dream up a better spot to catch waves and soak in the island vibes. The house itself is big, beautiful, and has everything you need for an awesome surf trip. The description of the layout and location was right on the money, and it felt like a home base made for people like me. There were a few little hiccups, though. The balcony doors didn’t close quite right, and some bedroom curtains could use a tweak. I also spotted a couple of cockroaches – not a big deal, but worth mentioning! A bunch of the outdoor lights weren’t working, which made it tricky to enjoy the outside space at night, and the main car gate was super heavy to open – maybe a quick fix to the tracks could smooth it out? The shared bathroom downstairs didn’t have a lock, which was a bit awkward for privacy, but we made it work. Oh, and there weren’t any tablecloths when we arrived – we grabbed some and left them as a little thank-you gift for the house! The manager was super responsive and easy to reach, which I really appreciated. They tried to help with some of our requests, though a few things didn’t quite get fixed during our stay. No biggie – I’m sure they’re working on it! Would I recommend this place? Absolutely, especially to surf buddies who want the best spot on the island. The waves nearby were incredible, and there are some fantastic local eats and activities. This house has so much going for it, and with a few fixes (lights, locks, etc.), it’d be unstoppable. I’d definitely stay again – that location alone is worth it!
