The best VRBO we have ever stayed at! The house was spotless and very well outfitted. The host was very friendly and available if you needed anything or just needed a recommendation for dinner. We would not hesitate to book again.

We absolutely loved our stay at this exceptional property! If you love a tropical landscape, chirping frogs at night and a wake-up call from birds/chickens in the morning, and a quiet space to relax and replenish after a day of adventure this is the place to stay! The guest house is beautifully appointed and Jeff and Jennifer are fabulous hosts that put in extra effort to provide special little touches to your stay. I’m going to miss the smell of the flowers in the guest house and all the peaceful sights/sounds that abound here! Exquisite!

Jennifer and Jeff, the hosts of this property are very welcoming. The accomodation is a quaint little cottage at the back of their home that is equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The fruit trees, garden and surrounds are so well care of and we found it very calming and refreshing. I hope we can return one day to stay here again to experience this magical island!

Contemplating a move to the big island made our decision that much more appealing with our three nights stay at Orchidlands Estates. This VRBO embodies and encapsulates the essence of life in Hawaii. From the warmest and friendliest welcome upon our arrival by the hosts to the immaculate grounds and well appointed extra large studio. The magnificent landscape is filled with beautiful tropical flowers and fruit trees. The hosts hard work on this magnificent property shines through on every level. The location is ideal and only a short hop to Volcano National Park or Hilo. It is the perfect place to jump start any adventures and activities you may have planned for your vacation on Hawai'i. In our case, a life changing move to the Big Island. Mahalo nui loa to our host and hostess.

It’s out of the way enough that you don’t see or hear any of the city stuff, but within striking distance of everything you wanna see on this side of the island. Hope to come back some day soon!

The space inside and outdoors is great for families traveling with young children. We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere surrounded by sounds of nature. Looking forward to our next visit.

Clear communication, easy to find, great location for Hilo activities as well as Volcanoes National Park. It's a beautiful secluded, property with excellent hosts. The Guest House has everything you may need or may have forgotten to pack. All of the kitchen, bathroom and outdoor items you need for your routine!Very convenient and feels like a temporary home!

Beautiful, tranquil, peaceful. I was able to get a lot of writing done. Great sunrise and landscaped grounds. Efficient, comfortable bedroom, living area, lanai, bathroom. Well-equiped kitchen. Great location for artist. One level directly out to lawn, trellis, and pond. Native and fruit trees.

We really enjoyed our stay. Very clean and had all the amenities we needed. The owners were so welcoming and they even gave us a dozen of their chickens fresh eggs!

Very welcoming stay, gave us privacy and clear instructions, very clean and good water pressure. The gate and couple made me feel safe and secure while traveling as young woman. Would 100% stay again. Located close to the volcanos and black sand beach.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here! The guest house is ideally located just minutes from Volcanoes National Park, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the area. The setting is peaceful, beautiful, and immaculately maintained—with gorgeous landscaping that invites you to slow down and take it all in.The house itself was spotless, private, and extremely comfortable. You can really feel how much thought, care, and love went into every detail—from the tasteful decor to the thoughtful little touches that made us feel so welcome. It’s clear the hosts have poured their hearts into this place.Speaking of the hosts, they were incredibly kind and gracious. Their warmth made the experience even more special. Our kids especially loved meeting the sweet little chicks and strolling through the garden—it was one of their favorite parts of the trip!This was one of the most peaceful and well-cared-for places we’ve ever stayed. This guest house was all we had hoped it would be from the photos - nice interior decor with a lovely lanai (porch), surrounded by green beauty. Amenities were all there with some nice extra touches, hosts were friendly and helpful. We left refreshed after our two nights and would love to visit again.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Jennifer's property as it was a secluded retreat that was still conveniently located near Hilo and Volcanoes National Park. We had two adults and two kids and the studio with kitchenette worked well for our purposes. It is also noted the kitchenette also was incredibly well stocked with every condiment/spice you could think of. The hot plate and toaster oven were both very helpful for basic meals at home. The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed looking at the koi and chickens. No A/C but the fans and evening breezes made it comfortable for us. The hosts were very communicative and even gave us a heads up that an eruption was occurring. Probably theoat clear check in and check out instructions of any short term rental I've been too as well. Would definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved the property - it was a peaceful, tropical retreat. The guest house was super clean and very well provisioned and the grounds were beautifully landscaped. There were pineapples, papayas, plumeria, orchids and so much more. It was so relaxing to sit on the lanai in the evening with a cool drink and listen to the sounds of the tree frogs and the burbling of the koi pond.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It had everything we needed and was one of the neatest and cutest guest houses I’ve ever stayed in. The garden was beautiful—I especially loved having my morning coffee next to the koi pond. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend it!

Returned for a second time to this beautiful property for a quick baby moon with my husband. I was just as pleased as I was during my first time here on a girls trip with my mom and sister. The property was clean, well equipped, and serene. It’s off the beaten path but private and relaxing. The hosts truly have thought of it all and we definitely recommend their rental.

The location was quiet and relaxing in the country (so much better than staying in town in Hilo), and it was near enough to the Volcano National Park which made for a great drive. Aloha,This is a wonderful property to experiance. Jeff and Jennifer thought of everything we would need to complete our stay. The guest house was charming and very clean. The property was very nicely landscaped too. we enjoyed sitting on the lanai and listening to the birds and frogs.The only thing that I should mention is that there is a very large chicken coop near the guest house. The roosters woke my husband up at 4:00 a.m. So, brings some ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. Otherwise, I loved this place and would stay there again!Mahalo,April and Ray B.

Comfortable accommodations along with immaculate landscaping makes this home away from home one should not pass up. This far exceeded our expectations and is a best value. We stayed here a few nights during Hilo side of the trip. Really great property that felt secluded but still close to food and grocery options. The property owners were very friendly and helpful with local recommendations for us. We would stay here again.

Great little place tucked away from the busier Hilo area. Probably a bit better suited for 4 than 5 given the overall size and having to use an air mattress. Owners were nice and let my kids feed the koi, which was exciting for them.

This guest house was the most wonderful and beautiful place I have ever stayed. The peaceful koi pond and fountain were so calming, and the grounds with the beautiful gardens and fruit trees were such a gorgeous backdrop. The pictures don’t do the estate justice. It’s beyond words. Jeff and Jennifer were incredibly kind and thoughtful and very helpful with suggestions of how to make the most of my time on the Big Island. The bed is very comfortable, and the house was so tastefully furnished and decorated. It has everything you could need and more. There is even a ukulele, which I played a few times! When I wasn’t out exploring, I spent most of my time sitting on the porch taking it all in. Truly did not want to leave. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to return!!

Immaculate garden and studio guest house; very clean and comfortable with all immediate necessities; peaceful and secluded; friendly, low key and communicative owners. We had a wonderful two night stay, a perfect place from which to explore the western side of the island. The location is away from town, very relaxing, with stars, stars, stars... We have already told many friends, and will return.

Very nice, large gated property with friendly hosts. Guest house is a large single room with queen bed as described. There are penned-in chickens with roosters that will crow in the morning. At night you'll hear coqui frogs and other typical night life but it's fairly quiet inside with the windows closed. I did have to find and relocate a very loud coqui frog that took up residence in the Y-support for the overhang close to a window. There's no stove but there is a mini microwave, hot plate and large toaster oven. Standard refrigerator had some supplies including milk and peanut butter and various sauces. No AC. Fans only. Good, mostly quiet location to many local points of interest. Storage container outside has some snorkeling gear, beach chairs, umbrellas and water toys. Very nice, personal experience.

Our family of 3 loved our stay at the guesthouse. The house was very clean and comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We enjoyed the view from the lanai over the lush property. Our daughter especially loved feeding the koi fish and chasing frogs.

Jennifer and Jeff have a beautiful and peaceful guest house with inviting decor and the property is extremely clean and comfortable. We hiked in Hawaii Volcano NP and the guest house was perfect after tackling the trails. We hope to return to the Big Island and stay here again

This ohana and property are one of the best places you will find in the Hilo area. Jeff and Jennifer are terrific hosts and the unit is equipped with just about anything you can imagine. The amenities are many, landscaping is immaculate, and all within a few minutes of town. You will not be disappointed!
