This place has everything you need to be comfortable. Gemma was welcoming. Great home base in the cool weather after spending time at the beach.
Wonderful place, just outside Waimea Town. Clean; host wonderful and friendly; kitchen new with coffee, cream and honey! Highly recommend on many levels.
Extremely pleasant and well-kept apartment. We enjoyed our stay very much!
Easy to get to. Zero problem prefect stay. Comfy cozy.
We love Gemma and her beautiful spot!
We had to leave early because it was so stinky and musty which triggered my allergies something fierce. I had texted the owner at the number she requested on the "welcome information pages." No reply at check in and no reply to the text that we were leaving 3 nights early. I love the area, but the chicken and dog noise was over the top. Do not recommend :(
Excellent host, great communication, reasonable pricing, the accommodations are clean and have everything you need to enjoy the island including snorkel and paddle boards. Our only issue was the humidity. Even with a humidifier running 24 hours a day, the home and everything in it including the bedding, couch and toilet paper, remained damp and uncomfortable. This was our first time to Hawaii and after a very long day of travel it was an unwelcomed surprise. 2nd and 3rd day were better after we adjusted our expectations.
We had an excellent stay in Gemma‘s apartment. It’s really cozy and perfectly equipped. There was even a nice selection of coffee and tea available. You also find beach and snorkel gear for use. We loved our stay and would definitely return.
Felt like it was my home. Gemma is a great property manager. Worked great for us.
This is our 3rd time at this property. It is extremely comfortable and has everything we need to feel at home! The kitchen is very well stocked and newly renovated. I love the outside sitting area It is so peaceful and relaxing.
It had a garage to keep your car. It was furnished with coffee and snorkeling gear, boogie board, life jacket which we used entire time. We enjoyed our stay and would visit again if we come back. Location was a little out of the way but if you want to spend time in Kona and Hilo it is half way between them.
Everything was exactly as shown. Perfect setting and excellent property. Will definately be staying there again!
We stayed 9 days. We loved the small quaint town. The house was very well stocked for everything that we needed. The owner was super nice, very responsive to all my questions! Highly recommend! Thank you for sharing your guest home!
A nice, clean place that was fully equipped with everything we needed. The cooler and beach equipment provided was a really nice touch. Host was very helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay there again if in Waimea.
We stayed here four nights and found the place to be very well equipped. The host was also helpful and very responsive.
well appointed house in family friendly neighborhood. 55 degrees every night of our stay. 30 minutes to the best beaches 45 minutes to Hilo's dining options.
House was perfect for us. 2B/1Ba was what we needed. Conveniently located for the activities we chose. House was comfortable and quiet.
Very well maintained and comfortable property! The fantastic, recently renovated, kitchen was a pleasure to use. The two-drawer dishwasher was awesome...I wish we had one for our kitchen at home! Exclusive use of the spacious garage and breezeway area was an added bonus. Our pleasant Host Gemma, was easy to reach and communicate with and very responsive to our requests!
Good
Perfect location to see both Kona and Hilo (1 hr each direction with beautiful scenic views) Host was very communicative, Home had all essential amenities, and garage has plenty of beach/snorkel gear There is a very friendly neighborhood cat named Roxy and is super friendly, usually sits on the porch ( If you do book this Vrbo please be kind to her) 10/10 Would book again.
It was very nice and accommodating
Convenient and well maintained cottage in a quaint local neighborhood. The cottage was considerably private. The location was easily accessible to the main thoroughfare and town. Ideal location as we were there to attend a wedding celebration in town. Absolutely would book this home again.
We loved our time with Gemma. Her property was very comfortable and she was such a generous host. We will be back for sure!
Very clean, but set in a noisy neighborhood with dog barking and howling next door. On the other side a lot of kids. I still would have been fine except for the hair dryer, dehumidifier and microwave. Someone had put mechanics oil in the dehumidifier. I dumped it several times adding dishwasher soap, it helped. Hairdryer made a slight grinding noise before it died. I had to go buy one. Microwave is corroded inside on didn’t work at first. Worked after several tries.
We loved this little house!!
Awesome. Perfect for our needs.
This was our second stay with Gemma and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The property was clean, comfortable, and a convenient location from town and our family. We will definitely keep Gemma in mind if we have need of a last minute or planned vacation stay when visiting family in the area. Thank you, Gemma! ~Keegan and Michaela
House is clean, private, and has everything you need. Good home base away from the big towns.
We enjoyed are stay very much! Everything was perfect!
Clean and comfortable, nice cats, nice yard, lots of orchids. It's not their fault it rained for three days, but that's what keeps it so green. Luckily we were able to go down to the beaches every day to get out of the rain; saw plenty of waves and whales. We've stayed there before and would again.
A very nicely maintained small guesthouse attached to owner’s home. A garage and washer/dryer was also available for our use, along with some beach toys. This was a nice location between Hilo and Kona away from hotel and resort traffic, within easy drives to all of the attractions. Overall a lovely place to stay!
Rural gem outside Waimea. Print directions prior to driving to property. I lost signal and did not have a connection until Wifi signal at the bungalow. Property was clean and had comforts of home. Perfect location when visiting north west side of the island. Beautiful part of the island with many things to do in Waimea, Honokaa, Waipio, and Hawi. Plan for a peaceful and comfortable stay.
Great neighborhood location; central location to explore East, West and North
