North Shore Oahu getaway condo for rent with pool

This place has great potential, but a few things need to be addressed. First, it's great that it comes with an assigned parking space and the beachfront is awesome. Access was easy, once we figured out how to park. That took going up to the apartment to find the permit, which had the space number on it.The bathtub fixture needs to be replaced so that the cold water has a knob rather than a vice grip plier. The pliers were rusty, so the sooner the better. The ckeaners also need to make sure the areas behind the futons are clean as well as the futon crevices so that when you fold them down, it's all clean. The bed in the bedroom is creaky and could use tightening. The AC unit works well in the living area, but the bedroom is sticking and could use better fans as the AC really doesn't make it in there. The murphy bed isn't simple to use, but there are instructions. The other two beds are futons. Plenty of bedding for all beds. While it is listed as sleeping 8, it's certainly more comfortable for 4. It's a one bedroom apartment, really. We are a family of 5 and all kids want their own bed, which left no place to sit except metal stools. But, we also weren't there very much. The listing said it didn't have toiletries, so we were pleasantly surprised that they were there. That is SO nice when travelling.Hawaii is expensive, but we did feel that the price we paid was high for the space and the for the state of things. The host is responsive and great!

The listing was very accurate (nice beachfront location, 1-bedroom condo, pool, etc) and we liked the decor. The host communication was mostly excellent. Unfortunately we ran into many issues during our stay. Luckily, most are relatively easy to address, and if they were addressed I would fully recommend others to stay here. - We arrived in the evening, ready to head to bed, only to discover we needed to wash the bedding. The clean sheets meant for the beds in the common spaces smelled like mildew, and the mattress covers were quite dirty. We washed the mattress cover of the Murphy bed, and it looked much cleaner after a wash. - The shower curtain had a lot of mold/mildew, needs to be replaced. - The shower is missing a knob and one uses vise grip pliers to change the water temp. - The bathroom doorknob was hollowed out / missing its lock cylinder (easy to replace). - The barn door to the bathroom was off the track and the metal door stop is not attached to the rail and instead just sits loosely on the rail; it fell off, luckily it did not hit one of us. - The parking lot is undergoing major construction and as a result this unit doesn't currently have onsite parking. You have to park in a remote lot about 1 block away, walking in the shoulder of the road. Not a huge deal but this was definitely an annoyance throughout our stay, as every time we would come or go we'd load or unload the kids at the building as I didn't want kids walking on the street with no sidewalk.

This was hands-down one of the best vacation rentals we’ve ever stayed in. We’ll be dreaming of this place until we can come back. Mahalo for such a memorable stay!

We enjoyed our short stay at this apartment. The beach outside the apartment was perfect for our young kids. Nice hikes nearby too.

This is just what my momma heart needed. The location was great, the ocean front property even with the work on the building was perfect for us. Everyone had space ( so much better than the hotel in Waikiki) it was perfect for doing some easy meals and enjoyed our evenings! Would definitely stay again!

The place easily accommodated 5 people and had many nice amenities. The kitchen was great. Beach towels were super helpful. The best part was the absolutely beautiful view of the beach from the balcony. The only downsides were the construction on site and the lack of places to walk to for food. A grocery store and some restaurants were within quick driving distance.

The condo is in a spectacular location. Steps from beach and the beach is awesome. The condo is also in great condition with good remodel. The entire building is going through some renovation and believe once this is completed, it would be a great experience. As part of this renovation, we encountered some bad small outside and inside the unit. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and would repeat.

Having access to this secluded and perfect beach was amazing- right outside the condo building- turtles swam up 20 feet from us and just hung out! The decor of the condo was cute and fun and had everything we needed. Only complaint is there was construction workers working on the sewer line and plumbing the whole time we were there- so there was a smell of sewer both outside the front of the building and the bedroom area.

I highly recommend this spot and would gladly go back. It’s directly on the ocean with an amazing balcony view and quiet beach. Plenty of towels and beach equipment (surf board, boogie boards, chairs, beach mats) to use. The inside of the apartment is cozy, comfortable and updated. There are plenty of beds/sleeping options. Amy is a joy to work with and is very attentive. We had construction going on outside our front door every week day which created an inconvenience that we needed to adjust our schedule to work around. But this wasn’t the fault of the apartment owners. The entire complex is in process of a much needed renovation. We loved our visit and highly recommend this apartment.

Condo was clean and nice, well equip for a family. Grounds and entrance of the condo is very bad. Parking is very hard to find being that many of the stalls are blocked off with construction, constant bad smell like sewage. Construction items , tape, wood, equipment left all around the property and outside of out units door.. These this should be disclosed to the renter in advance.

This property is right on its own private beach which was enough to make staying there completely worth it. The beach wasn’t busy, has great sand, and the waves were never such that I worried about the safety of my kids in comparison to other beaches in the area. The unit itself was perfect. It is updated and clean. There were plenty of sleeping spots for our family. The patio was great to sit on and watch views of the ocean. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could think of including things not listed such as a rice cooker, and crock pot. I loved having a washer and dryer to be able to wash beach towels and keep things fresh and clean. Amy was great to work with and very responsive. No problems whatsoever. Would definitely stay again.
