30 seconds to The Ocean! Waikiki Shore, 1 Bedroom with 1 Parking (WS08)

I had a very rough check in process. When I went to the lock box to get the key fob and parking pass, I found it empty. The Reality company that this is rented through does not have an emergency contact phone number so if you arrive later than their business hours you are kind of out of luck as far as contacting them. Luckily, the on site security guard (who is not affiliated with the company at all and did not have to help me) was able to make several calls and get in touch with the company who let me know that their maid service forgot to leave the keys in the lock box. Had he not found someones personal cell phone number, I would have not had a place to stay that night and possibly the next night since it was a saturday. VRBO put me on hold for over an hour trying to contact them and was unsuccessful. Once I got the keys the apartment was really nice to stay in and everything about the actual apartment was wonderful but I'm still quite frustrated with that situation. I travel to HI for work very often and would like to book this again but am very hesitant due to this situation.

Not recommended for children!!I was so excited for this stay and on arrival the location was amazing, next to the beach, food, shopping and a pretty good view. Check in is a bit confusing, you have to pick up the keys at a seperate location and the directions were not clear. Luckily someone in the lobby of the pick up location was able to direcct us on where to go. Upon arrival the lobby and exterior are very nice and clean but after entering the unit was clear the place had not been cleaned in some time. There were stains on the furniture, walls, curtains and counters. The floors were covered in sand and hadnt been mopped in some time. The bedroom and bathroom windows are open air glass shudder style so you can hear all outside noise and this unit is on a low floor with another hotel and balconey about 50 feet away. Very noisy at night and it was difficult to get my toddler to sleep. On our 5th day, the parking pass stopped working and we could not get out of the parking lot. I had to call the property manager just to be told they hadnt made a payment that day so i could not use the parking, even though I was booked until the following day. After some argueing, they made the payment so i was able to leave but the same issue happened the next day resulting in a 95 parking fee (that i paid).Keep in mind this is a hotel but the unit is managed by a seperate company, so you are not allowed to use any of the hotel amenties.Overall not a great place!

We stayed 8 nights and would not stay here again. The air conditioning didn’t work the entire time, making the unit very uncomfortable, especially at night. Two technicians came on separate days but never fixed it, resulting in multiple nights of poor sleep. The unit was also not properly maintained with dirty floors, ants and a clogged shower drain. Check-in was poorly communicated, with key pickup at a different location that wasn’t clearly stated. The location is good but that’s the only positive. Compensation was offered but was minimal and it did not reflect the level of inconvenience. There are better options nearby.

The location was wonderful, however very noisy. Parking was also a plus. The check-in process was a nightmare - it was not clearly stated that we had to walk several blocks (with the address being misspelled) to find the keys, and when we finally got there, the lockbox was empty. After four hours we finally got checked in (with the help of the front desk attendant who we're told not to ask for help...but we really had no choice). The unit was not very clean and sparsely furnished. The photo in the ad is clearly taken from some time ago. In spite of the unit, we enjoyed our stay in Waikiki.

The location was amazing! The view was wonderful. I can’t say enough how easy it was to get around the area! We loved our stay. The bed was comfortable. However, upon check in we did have a bit of an ant problem around the kitchen sink. We found the can of raid and it was all good for the remainder of our week long stay. I would recommend this place to all my friends.

The unit was very nice and conveniently located. The staff at the building were friendly and helpful.

The host was very accommodating to our needs bc I’m disabled. I enjoyed the place and it’s centrally located.

It was a secure property directly on Waikīkī Beach. Good view of the ocean that was somewhat blocked by the trees next door in the park. Overall a great stay. The only drawback I can think of is this. Rental company needs to be more direct on their address and how to find their office. We spent 30 minutes trying to find it. I just happened to try a hallway in the building and found a building directory at the end of the hall.

Great location in the heart of Waikiki!

This condo’s location couldn’t have been better - right on the ocean in the heart of Waikiki with shopping and restaurants just a few steps away. The lanai had views of the ocean and the adjacent park and the room was relatively insulated from outside noise. The inside of the property could benefit from a fresh coat of paint and a freshen up on frying pans (they were well past their prime with the Teflon coating flaking away), but that was easy to overlook due to the prime location of the property. We did have a minor repair needed with the showerhead and they were super quick to get that taken care of. Overall it was a great stay.

The unit had very little in terms of dishes/plates and amenities. I was especially disappointed that a beach front condo didn’t have beach towels. We enjoyed a discount in beach chair and umbrella rental which was a nice surprise. Bed was comfortable.

Yes convenient location, not kept up, no pillows on the couch, no carpet, poorly decorated. Old lights fixtures, doors need replaced, and there is a huge bird net from floor to ceiling on the lanai.

Be sure to pay close attention to the check in process, get your keys and parking card from the management office before attempting to get into the unit.Unit was clean & the little extras (beach umbrellas, sand mats, floaties, etc) were a great addition to our short stay!

For being in downtown Waikiki, the location couldn’t be better. Having a parking spot is amazing. Having to figure out how to get your keys on the parking pass is difficult. we were lucky enough to show up during the week and before 5 o’clock, so I have to catch somebody at the business office. She did not speak English well so it was difficult to communicate, but she was able to get me the keys. I never did get the lockbox code, nor the code to the door at the condo in my email. I went back and double checked all my emails and my junk mail. It is not there. It would benefit everyone if the owner could figure out a way to skip that step. I saw other lockboxes on the fence at the condo which would be a better option, but what do I know. The toilet wasn’t working when we got there, but I quickly fix that, and some of the lights didn’t work well which weren’t an issue for us. I did request a one hour late checkout and was denied without paying extra. Given the check-in process and the fact that I had to fix the toilet, I was a little surprised by that. If you say it goes well without needing to communicate, it is a great place, I would be worried for someone who had to reach out because the response time is not very fast. The bed in the kitchen were in good order, there were towels and hand towels, but no wash clothes.

Cozy little place right on the beach. Will definitely be back.

I was sent an email giving me the code to get in but was not told that I needed to pickup a fob to access the building at a different location so I inquired at the front desk and they weren’t able to help as they are there for the hotel guests and I was unaware that I wasn’t supposed to have contact with them. After sending a message and calling the realtor and getting no response security for the building contacted them and I was then given instructions on how to retrieve the fob. The property was not very Clean, I have pictures and I also have the email that was sent to me that does not give any information about getting the fob at a different location or that I wasn’t supposed to have contact with the front desk, if you would like to see them. It was however a great location.

Check in process was a little confusing. One set of instructions said key fob and parking pass would be in the unit and the other (attachment to the same instructions) said key fob and pass needed be picked up from the property managers office at a different location. Though when asked they responded promptly and communicated well through out stay. Location was perfect. Beach and park adjacent and walking distance to Waikiki shopping and dining.

The location was amazing and convenient to the beach and easy to take the stairs on the second floor. The washer/dryer was a huge perk to clean up dirty clothes daily. My only issue was at check in not getting the code to the lockbox for my keys. Had to contact multiple phone numbers and was several hours later after messaging through VRBO, that I was contacted, but after that everything was great. We enjoyed our stay.

This apartment checked off my must have list. Fabulous location, convenient parking included , air-conditioning, an in-unit washer/dryer and a king sized bed. The apartment is very nice and exactly as seen in the photos. It could use either a dresser or some kind of horizontal furniture (even luggage racks would be fine) in the bedroom so suitcases can either be unpacked or have a place to sit on and utilize when they are opened. The kitchen area has a coffee pot but would benefit from a toaster as we ate breakfast in every day. Plenty of blankets, pillows and towels are provided, but the towels are very poor quality and both small and scratchy. It would also be nice if beach towels were provided. The air conditioning is set to a very low temperature (excessively cold) and we could not find any control to adjust it. Our biggest complaint is that the real estate company that manages it, is very bad at communication. They do not respond to emails or phone calls and we had to physically go to their office to speak with someone to deal with a situation that we needed help with. It was taken care of, but it should not necessitated a trip to their office. A day or two later we were sent a text asking how they could help us. Overall, a very good stay.

The unit is old and outdated. The online photos are at least 8 years old. Everything in the unit is dirty/dusty or broken. I'm leaving a review with photos online so no one else has false hopes of a nice stay!

The only complaints were 1. A bit of trouble claiming the key to access the suite 2. The suite was clean but the porch floor was quite dirty 3. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I did stay at many Waikiki Shore condos within the last 8 years. This is one of my favorite units so far. Don ́t worry about 2nd floor location, the park views are awesome and the fact that you can use the stairs is a real ++(you sometimes have to wait extremely long for one of the lifts). The unit was clean and we've been surprised to find, salt, pepper, paper towels and dish soap in the kitchen as Lei Hawaii told there wouldn ́t be any. Parking at Fort DeRussy is another +. I've felt at home at unit 208 right from the beginning and wished I could have stayed longer. Love it. Only dilemma: the frontdoor of the refridgerator definately needs to be repainted as the rust bloom disrupts the great overall look and is extremely visible. Besides this it ́s +++ 👍

Right on the park and beach. Quiet in the evenings.

We enjoyed that we were so close to the beach and walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Wish we had a second tv in bedroom- but enjoyed the multiple channels and netflix in living room.
