Please note: Hawaii has the highest electric rate in the United States, therefore guests are responsible for the electric bill plus taxes. This way, guests can use as much electricity as they want or save a little by being conservative with electric use. The electric bills are usually around $450 per month if the guests are conservative with their energy use, about $650 for average usage (it goes up if the dryer and ceiling fans are used often), and about $700 - $900 and up for guests that use the central air conditioning. Lastly, owner offers a 3% discount on the rental fee if guest is able to pay by e-check.
