One of a series of boutique hotels in Waikiki, the Aqua Bamboo & Spa has 92 Asian-inspired rooms offering private lanais, kitchenettes and contemporary furnishings. The rooms are on the small side and those on the lower floors can be a bit noisy because of the hotel's location near a main Waikiki bus stop. But all in all, the Aqua Bamboo & Spa is a good value as there are many more expensive alternatives in Waikiki. For the price paid, the Aqua Bamboo & Spa boasts excellent service. Complimentary refreshments are offered around the clock in the lobby, whilst complimentary signature cocktails (the Bamboozle!) are offered at the mid-week manager's reception. Although the hotel doesn't have an own restaurant, the concierge is on hand to recommend many of the local delights, including vegetarian or health food options. The hotel has also won kudos for its spa and saltwater pool. The spa and pool are set amongst a lovely array of plant life, creating a tranquil sanctuary away from the city, within the hotel itself. In fact, the hotel's earth-friendly practices have led to it becoming a member of the Green Hotels Association, and it has also been credited with the Hawaii Green Business award.
