Maui County Permit # STHA 2016/0006 Tax ID W79323442-01 Ranked No #1! Awarded Conde Nast Traveler Magazine 'Deal of the Month' & 'Hawaii's Hidden Values'. Please also visit our website for current Specials and Discounts! Please note that we only keep our current calendar of availability on our website! Due to reservation changes and cancellations, please inquire on your dates even if our calendar shows we are booked! Hana is commonly known as the “Last Hawaiian Place.” Step back into the charm and casual elegance of old Hawai’i in an authentic, meticulously renovated plantation owners home in Hana. Once used to house managers from the sugar cane plantation days, this 1900 home, named Hale Ulu Lulu, underwent a major rebuilding (completed in early 2005 and constantly maintained) and is now completely restored with attention to historic detail, while providing every modern convenience. We have designed an open and airy layout with spectacular ocean and pastoral views from every room. Your eyes will delight on the beautiful Brazilian Mahogany floors, elegantly detailed, vintage style bath with dual-sided claw foot tub (great for romantic baths for two), granite kitchen counters with reclaimed Koa wood bar/counter and trim accents. A sliding panel of framed Tapa cloth between the bedroom and living area allows you to relax in bed to the incredible view or, when closed, to have complete privacy from the rest of the house. The furnishings are classic and comfortable with a Missionary antique and Asian influence. We have designed the cottage with warm tropical colors, original local artwork, Hawaiian antiques and Polynesian exotica. Though the house has a tasteful and elegant décor, you can still put your feet on the furniture and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. You will arrive to rooms filled with brilliant tropical flowers and orchids, 100% cotton, high thread count, quality linens and towels and quality soaps as well as coffee and green tea and fresh fruit to start off your first day with us – fine details on par with the finest luxury hotel at a fraction of comparable prices (really). Hale Ulu Lulu is part of a sprawling two-acre property surrounded by gracious lawns and verdant tropical gardens and foliage. We live on the property and constantly maintain our homes. They are meticulously cared for and we run our business like any fine hotel (sorry, no room service!). Though we usually greet you upon arrival and answer any questions, we leave you completely alone to enjoy your stay. The Guest Houses at Malanai are named after the gentle cooling breeze , (named Malanai) known for this area of Hana. We are located just three miles south of Hana Town in the Maka’alae district, which is considered the most highly desired area of Hana. You are sure to fall in love with the picturesque and pastoral landscape, the ever-changing ocean colors and the gentle sound of the waves lulling you to sleep at night. Walk 12 minutes to the world famous Hamoa beach (or a 2 minute drive) or 12 minutes in the other direction to the Venus pool- two of Hana’s most desired attractions – practically in our back yard! Our rates vary depending on the season and number of nights booked. Please click on the "rates" link for a full description of our rates. We often post specials on our official website. Mahalo! • View Miles of Hana Open Coastline in Across a 70 Acre Preserve

The billion dollar view of the pastures and shore makes visitors exclaim 'Wow' as they enter the dutch doors of this cozy cottage. On most days you can look across the ocean to the big island of Hawaii. You look across 70 acres of open pasture (with cattle and horses). Half of the people who view our website end up booking or wish they had. In the winter you can see snow cover on the top of the 13,000 foot Mauna Kea on the Big Island. Calves frolic under the not so watchful care of mommas grazing on the grass. If you are here in the winter, you can often see and hear whales. The first you hear is a thunk, like a car door closing. But you wonder why is there a car out in the pature. Then you look out to the sea and see a big splash. Now you know where to look for further breaches or tail slaps. This is a place to relax. The tensions ease as you drive leisurely through Hana Town, then as you spot the chaise on the cottage lanai, Hana Paralysis set in. For the more adventurous, there are hikes, beaches, cliffs, surfing and more. If all your hiking, swimming and snorkeling tighten you, a rejuvenating massage is only minutes away by phone. Some guests walk a tenth of a mile to a cool mountain pool fed by a burbling waterfall. More rigorous swimming may be found at the National Park where there are many pools more than 30 feet deep and jumping cliffs more from 1 to 100 feet high. Other beach swimming spots include Hamoa Beach, Waiaoka Pond, Koki Beach and the beach on Hana Bay People have good words about Koali Ranch Cottage: We thought this would be our last time to Hana, but after staying in the Koali Ranch Cottage, we will be back. We loved the view, the peacefulness, the cleanliness and even the crazy noisy bulls & cows! It was a great experience. 2/24/9 ..in 2004 we said “wow!” When we opened the door this trip we said, “its great to be back” … 6/5/7 This being our 5th or 6th trip to this house…But merely walk through the front door, passionately kiss my wife and allow it to blow through me, as and like the breeze rolling up up the pasure to my heart. I am here...Koali is in us and will never leave. 9/14/7 …this little slice of paradise…What a great location for exploring this side of the island! 5/18/7 …Looking forward to coming back when I need to recharge my batteries. 5/12/7 11/12/7 This place is all that and a bag of chips…appreciation to the owners for providing such an amazing space and to God for creating Heaven on Earth. This is 4th time to Hana, 1st time here. Usually I can’t wait to get out door in the morning to explore. Not here. Everything I need is just outside, a place to relax and rejuvenate!… 11/12/7 '...We were both astonished by the great view from the lanai - we knew there was an ocean, but this! My husband walked out on the porch, repeating, 'Magnificent!' 11/4/2006 'Walking thru the door of this cottage, I feel I'd entered a dream house...' 9/1/2004 6/13/7 …Never realized how peaceful and fun it would be to watch the cows. We will definitely recommend this place and hope to be back again… 6/13/7 A lot of testimonials. Ever since the owner's parents built the cottage in 1956, people from all over the world have been making nice comments. To be sure, there have been some adverse comments, but they come from people who might do better over in the glitzy other side of Maui, Waikiki, or even Las Vegas. Note: Pay no attention to the dates listed for special rates. Its the only way we can show you the 1-day, 2-day, and 3-day rates. Keywords: Cottage/Studio
