What to wear to become employed
I was wondering what is acceptable attire for either “cold calling” on places of employment or job interviews. Are tasteful Aloha shirts, pair of khaki’s and shoes (maybe Doc’s) OK? Or is something more formal looked upon in a better light?

RE: What to wear to become employed
I would say it depends on the company/job where you apply. For example, if you're looking for work as a bartender, then tasteful Aloha attire is fine. Otherwise, people who work in the downtown Honolulu business district wear tasteful Aloha attire on Fridays but on other days standard business attire. But it also depends on the company.

RE: What to wear to become employed
Thanks, I do freight forwarding(20+ years experience), so I would be going to the air freight, trucking and warehousing companies first, and I have run 30+ employee operation at LAX , so I guess any office environment would also be suitable for me (hopefully without a suit!!)
