Waikiki in October or Feb
Hi,

We are looking at coming to Waikiki in either October or Feb with our 3 year old but have a few questions:

- Which of these is the better time to visit
- Where is all the construction going on situated and what are the hotels possibly affected by this? Is there a better part to be in to avoid this?
- Recommendation on places to stay that are child friendly

Thanks

RE: Waikiki in October or Feb
Hawaii is always warm and there isn't much difference between the seasons. Either month will be fine to visit. October is usually slightly warmer and drier than February. But again there is really not much difference. Hawaii usually doesn't experience a monsoon season with weeks and weeks of non-stop rain or something like that. Also, both October and February are not in the main tourist season (which is December/January and June-August). There is currently construction at the International Marketplace in Waikiki, so you might want to avoid this area. There are many Waikiki hotels that are child-friendly. Do you have any specific one in mind? You can also ask the hotel before you reserve a room if they are currently doing any renovations or if any renovations are being planned. Hope this info helps!
