Moving to Hawaii for One Year

My partner and young son are wanting to come to Hawaii for a year. We need to know lots of things but the main things are would we be able to work being non US citizens and also if we could get our son into school ?

My partner is a fully qualified Sign Fitter and I am an Administrator.

If anyone can help, then it would be very appreciated Smile

RE: Moving to Hawaii for One Year
Aloha Katie and welcome to our forum. I can imagine it must be exciting and challenging in the same time to plan a move to Hawaii. If you're allowed to work depends on the type of visa that you have while you're in Hawaii (a work visa such as H-1B for example is for the purpose of working in the U.S.). If you both have visas and reside here legally then it is also no problem to get your son into a school.
