Overview
Kayak in the crystal clear waters of Kailua Bay with one of our guides and visit one of Oahu's smallest offshore islands. It's only a half-hour paddle away! On the tour, you may spot sea turtles and colorful fish from your kayak or while on Popoi'a Island (also known as Flat Island). Experience great views of Kailua Bay and Kailua Beach. You will kayak to the Popoi'a island bird sanctuary and then explore the perimeter on foot. This Kailua kayak tour is great for beginners and for those with Children 8 years and older. End the tour with authentic tacos with freshly made salsa that comes with water or a can of Hawaiian Sun Juice at the Active Oahu Tours storefront. Itinerary
At the Active Oahu Tours storefront visit the activity hub where you will receive instructions and help from the guides loading the kayak gear onto your vehicle. (15 mins)
Unload your gear and meet your guide in the water to start your kayaking experience. (15 mins)
Kayak through Kailua Bay's crystal clear water to Popoia island where you will have the opportunity to see green sea turtles, tropical fish and majestic mountain views. (20 mins)
Land on Popoia Island and enjoy an easy walk around the perimeter of the bird sanctuary. (30 mins)
Paddle back through the bay to Kailua Beach Park or continue exploring for a bit longer. (30 mins)
Land and pack up the gear and head back to the shop. (15 mins)
End your tour back at the Active Oahu Tours storefront with free lunch: a refreshing meal that comes with water or a can of Hawaiian Sun Juice. (30 mins)
