This two-hour guided experience allows participants to snorkel over Hawaii's oldest barrier reef, swim with turtles, and discover a vibrant array of endemic fish. Led by a team of Kaua'i waterman with deep knowledge of ocean conservation, the adventure includes a traditional Naupaka cleansing ritual and an opportunity to assist in cleaning the reef.

Aloha and welcome to the Mālama Kai Snorkeling Adventure!
Dive into the vibrant world beneath Kauai’s waves as you snorkel over the island’s largest barrier reef.
Swim alongside majestic sea turtles and colorful reef fish, and make a positive impact by helping remove ‘ōpala (trash) from the reef.
Guided by local experts, you’ll learn to identify both endemic and invasive reef fish species and discover conservation practices deeply rooted in Hawaiian culture.
Participate in a traditional Naupaka Cleansing Ceremony, connecting you to the spirit of Aloha ʻĀina—love and care for the land and sea.
Your adventure combines education, action, and cultural immersion.
At the end of your experience, receive a Mālama Kai certificate recognizing your contribution to protecting Hawai‘i’s waters.
