This manta ray night snorkel adventure with Kona Ocean Adventures lets you experience one of the world's top dive sites up close. Snorkelers float on custom light boards as manta rays glide, flip, and spin just beneath the surface, while certified divers enjoy an easy night dive at only 30 feet. All gear, wetsuits, towels, sunscreen, snacks, drinks, and even a fresh catered meal is included, with options for vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, or kosher meals. Guided by expert crew, this eco-friendly adventure combines ocean magic, comfort, and the once-in-a-lifetime thrill of snorkeling or diving with gentle giants under the Kona night sky.
For snorkelers, we will be floating on the surface as a group on our custom built board with spotlights pointing down on these creatures swimming below. Watch as these beautiful creatures glide beneath you, performing somersaults and spins. For the certified divers, this is a really easy night dive, we will mostly be kneeling in the sand at the bottom of the ocean no deeper then 30 feet with lights above and around us.
This adventure includes all gear (mask, snorkel, fins, wet suit if requested), snacks, beverages and a delicious lunch. Also provided sunscreen and towels.

Sunset Manta Snorkel : If you want to scuba dive, please contact us direct Snorkeling or diving this close to Manta Rays is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Listed as one of the Top ten Dive sites in the world according to National Geographic, the Kona Coast of Hawaii is perhaps the best place on earth to do this amazing activity. Manta Rays are gentle giants and among the most elegant creatures in all of nature. We will take you to a spot where they gather to feed in the evening. Our lights attract the plankton, and in turn the Manta Rays as they feed on these microscopic organisms. Sounds exiting? That’s because it truly is. Manta Rays are completely harmless. For snorkelers, we will be floating on the surface as a group on our custom built board with spotlights pointing down on these creatures swimming below. Watch as these beautiful creatures glide beneath you, performing somersaults and spins (150 mins)

(GPS is not dependable in Hawaii)From the North…(From The Mauna Kea, Hapuna Prince, Mauna Lani Bay, Fairmont Orchid,Hilton Waikoloa, Outrigger Marriott Waikoloa, Kona Village or Four Seasons) Take HWY 19 South back toward Kona Airport. Approx. 5 miles past the airport or 4 traffic lights. Look for the sign Honokohau marina on your right hand side and make that right on kealakehe parkway. Follow the road until you can make another right. Go along that road, you will see gentry’s marina, sea store deli, gas station… and the road ends on a big open parking lot. Once at the parking lot, go left towards the boat ramp and look for our boat vibrantly painted with octopus tentacles “KONA OCEAN ADVENTURES” on a trailer attached to a pickup truck covered with stickers of dolphins, manta rays, whales, snorkelers, and scuba divers. You can’t miss us. From the South…(From King Kamehameha Hotel, Royal Kona Resort,Kona Coast resort, Sheraton keauhou) Head North on HWY 19 towards Kona Airport. Approx. 2.5 miles from Kailua-Kona turn left at the Harbor entrance, Look for the sign Honokohau marina and make that right on kealakehe parkway. Follow the road until you can make your next immediate right. Go along that road, you will see gentry’s marina, sea store deli, gas station… and the road ends on a big open parking lot. Once at the parking lot, go left towards the boat ramp and look for our boat “KONA OCEAN ADVENTURES” on a trailer attached to a white pickup truck coverer with stickers of dolphins, manta rays, whales, snorkelers, and scuba divers. You can’t miss us.
