Meet up with your guide and set out on foot down the historic Ali'i Drive, beginning your excursion with a brief overview of Kona's fascinating, mystery-filled history. From there, make your way to various locations where supernatural events are believed to have occurred, from the historic location of human sacrifices to the paths where the ghostly, torch-wielding Night Marchers are believed to walk. Itinerary
Built on ancients grounds, the Kona Inn was responsible for ushering in the era of tourism in Kona. The site was formerly home to King Kamehameha II and is known as "papa'ula" or "red flats" as there may have been human sacrifice here as well. End the tour with a cleansing sage smudge at the new Big Island Ghost Tours booth. (15 mins)

The lava rock cornerstones of Hawaii's very first Christian church were formerly part of an ancient Hawaiian temple, built hundreds of years in the past. This newly introduced religion eventually led to events that are considered Hawaii's civil war and the end of the ancient Kapu system. (10 mins)
A former sacrificial heiau (luakini) dedicated to the god Ku where human sacrifice was performed, then later rededicated by King Kamehameha to the god Lono as a temple of peace. (15 mins)
