Honolulu Academy of Arts, Oahu

Founded in 1927 by Anna Rice Cooke, the Honolulu Academy of Arts is an art museum located near downtown Honolulu on the island of Oahu, featuring a collection of over 50,000 works.

The museum’s major strengths are European and American paintings, graphic and decorative arts and the arts of Asia. It also has a Hawaiian collection, an Oceania collection, an Africa collection and a textiles collection. The museum’s mission is education and it also administers the Academy Art Center at Linekone, the largest private art school in the Islands. Besides the exhibitions, there is a pavilion café, the Robert Allerton Research Library and an Academy Shop.

$10 Adults
$5 Students, seniors, and military
Free for members and children 12 and under accompanied by an adult.
Bank of Hawaii Sundays: 3rd Sunday of the month 11 am-5 pm is free.
First Wednesday of every month is free.
Entry to the Academy Shop, the Pavilion Cafe and The Robert Atherton Library is free.

Academy Parking
Art Center Lot: Mon–Sat 7 am–11 pm, Sun 10 am–6 pm
1035 Kinau Street Lot: (Diamond Head of Admiral Thomas) Closed to public during regular museum hours. Free during evening and weekend hours until 11 pm

Parking Fees:
$3 for every 4 hours with validation, or $4 flat rate (evening) without validation or for parking beyond the validation period. Parking during member openings is free.

Wheelchairs and handicap parking are available at the museum's entrance gates on Ward Avenue and Victoria Streets.
