Turtle Bay Resort, Oahu
The Turtle Bay Resort (see more photos) is located on Oahu's North Shore, about 50 miles north of Waikiki. It is a favorite resort among golfers because a large golf course is located next to it. It is also ideal for those looking for more privacy and a quieter atmosphere, away from the city. The North Shore of Oahu is far less developed than Honolulu and Waikiki. And in the winter months, it is here where one can see the spectacular winter waves, which often times reach heights of 15 feet and more.
The rooms at the Turtle Bay Resort are nicely decorated and have lanais. Some of them overlook the ocean, some the mountains. If you want even more privacy, the beach cottages are highly recommended. There you'll have a grassy area in front of your entrance. All rooms have air-conditioning, coffee maker, TV, hair dryer and wireless Internet.
There are six on-site dining venues that offer a gourmet cuisine at various prices. You can enjoy buffet and a la carte meals as well as tropical cocktails.
