Maui Marketplace at a Glance
Located five minutes from Kahului Airport on the busy Dairy
Road, the Maui Marketplace is a center to get value and convenience.
This marketplace has popular chains like Borders Books & Music and
Starbuck's Coffee (with wi-fi access), Sports Authority, OfficeMax,
Pier One Imports and Eagle Hardware.
Interspersed with the chain stores are smaller independent stores,
such as The Vault and Hawaiian Island Creations. You can sample
local foods at the Kau Kau Corner food court.
A great place for lunch
is Aloha Grill, a 50s inspired nostalgia grill with movie posters
on the wall. You can find the classic burgers, fries and hot
dogs, or take the chance to try something more unusual like a
taro burger, made from veggies, herbs and spices. All the burgers are
served with a side of be-bop sauce, ketchup, mayo, mustard and
relish mixed together. The “Bone Jar Shake” is a favorite, made with
chocolate and peanut butter.
