expanding the Lahaina Cannery Mall to roughly 69,000 square

the eye. Behind the elegant and plush structure, the name
Lahaina Cannery is a proud signature of West Maui’s glory
days as a top pineapple producer – back in the days when
tens of thousands of the tropical fruit were processed and
canned in the exact same spot by the now defunct Baldwin
Packers.
For the last two decades, tourists and residents alike have
flocked to the Lahaina Cannery Mall not only because of its
wide variety of shops, boutiques, retail stores and international
food choices, but also for the year-round cultural events
and festivals showcasing hula and Polynesian music.
In fact, the Lahaina Cannery Mall is considered one of
Maui’s top entertainment spots, especially during weekends.
Both locals and visitors take time out to watch Hawaiian
