Kupa'a Farms, Maui
Located on four acres on the slopes of Mt. Haleakala, Kupa'a Farms grows a few coffee varieties such as red catuai, Kona typics and yellow catuai. Their coffee is grown under shady monkeypod, koa and inga trees. In a 2010 statewide cupping competition, Kupa'a Farms coffee placed first overall on Maui and second in the state of Hawaii.
In addition to their organic coffees, Kupa'a Farms also grow almost 40 different kinds of fruits and vegetables, including potatoes, sweet corn, carrots, onions, bananas, mango, broccoli, eggplant, grapefruit, tangerines, papaya and a few herbs.
