While some hotels visibly reflect European design
influence, Kauai Marriott Resort and Beach Club is one
Kauai hotel that gives an authentic Hawaiian feel. This

The 800-acre Kauai Marriott Resort and Beach Club was
formerly called Kauai Surf and Westin Resort, a ritzy
megaresort in the 1980s, with a top-of-the-line
architecture and the only two-story high elevator in
Kauai. After the hurricane partially destroyed the
resort, it was extensively renovated and renamed as Kaui
Marriott Resort and Beach Club. Marriott reopened in
1995.
Today, Kauai Marriott offers a total of 356 guest rooms,
and 190 single bedroom and 42 bedroom beach suites.
Guestrooms have private lanais and ocean view. Golfing
enthusiasts can tee off at any of the two golf courses
designed by Jack Nicklaus. Those who want a tennis
match-up can choose one among 8 tennis courts. Guests
can unwind in one of the resort’s five Jacuzzis or in
the 26,000 square feet pool. Elegant dining is available
at Duke’s Canoe Club. Just a few miles away are Kauai’s
top attractions including Waimea Canyon, Poipu Beach
Park, and the Spouting Horn.
