Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa at a Glance
The Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa is a hotel, resort,
and an attraction all rolled into one. This spacious
50-acre hotel features a 1.5-acre saltwater lagoon with
150-foot slide, pools, waterfalls, a man-made river
meandering through lush garden and quaint grottoes of
the hotel to a freshwater lagoon, and the
45,000-square-foot ANARA spa. Built on top of a cliff,
the dramatic low-rise megaresort overlooks a surf-swept
Shipwreck Beach on Kauai’s south end. The resort’s
4-story architecture is reminiscent of the Old Hawaii of
Matson Line steamship era.
Considered as one of Hawaii’s top luxury hotels, Grand
Hyatt Kauai Hotel and Spa’s even upped the hotel’s
elegance to a higher level by giving it a multi-million
dollar renovation. At the Grand Hyatt Kauai, each room
measures a spacious 600 square feet or more. Each room
has a plantation-style design with bamboo and wicker
furnishings. Rooms include a ceiling fan and
airconditioning unit.
This megaresort is often picked out by Conde Nast
Traveler’s readers as one of the best tropical resorts
each year. Each room speaks of complete elegance, from
the marble baths, Portico toiletries and Hyatt Grand Bed
to the iHome stereo with iPod dock, beverage chillers,
and private balcony/lanai. 75% of the 602 guestrooms
have an ocean view.
The collection of waterworks here (slides, waterfalls,
lagoons) make Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa any kid’s
paradise. Moreover, the resort features Camp Hyatt which
offers scavenger hunts, arts and crafts programs, and
other activities for kids.
Grand Hyatt Kauai’s ANARA spa is also considered the
best in Kauai. ANARA spa features lava rock showers,
treatment at Polynesia thatched huts, meditation, yoga,
