The Beach House Restaurant at a Glance

Beach House RestaurantAt the Beach House Restaurant, Executive Chef Todd Barrett and his kitchen team prepare Pacific Rim Cuisine with award-winning creative twists. One of Hawaii’s most awarded restaurant, the Beach House Restaurant has been a consistent recipient of Hale Aina Gold Award for “Best Kauai Restaurant” (given by Honolulu Magazine), of Garden Island Reader’s “Best Restaurant with a View,” and of Zagat Restaurant Survey’s “Top Kauai Restaurant.”

Beach House Restaurant’s impeccable dining experience is the product of a powerful combination: outstanding location meets outstanding food. Perched on a sea wall just a few inches from the waves, the multilevel restaurant is considered the best place to watch spectacular sunsets. No other Kauai restaurant lets you experience the sun disappearing into the blue Pacific while dining. The tables are well arranged, and the large rooms are accentuated by sliding glass doors. It’s not difficult to see why Beach House Restaurant has also been named the “Most Romantic Restaurant” by Garden Island Survey and by The Travel Network.

The Beach House Restaurant is open for dinner, which begins with oven fresh breads and intriguing choices of appetizers such as their grilled artichoke served with potato corn fritters. Chef Executive Todd Barrett and his team make different preparations of fresh Hawaiian fish. Try their signature dishes including lightly crusted mahimahi with macadamia nuts. For dessert, molten chocolate with vanilla bean ice cream makes a decadent meal finale.

Beach House Restaurant’s menu changes regularly so even regulars get to taste a different creation each time. Yet some signature dishes are always present in the menu. Chinese-style roast duck, fire-roasted ahi, and kaffir-lime sea scallops are a must try.

The Beach House Restaurant has been rebuilt twice. First, after Hurricane Iwa swept it into the sea in 1982, and second after Hurricane Iniki destroyed in 1992. As this restaurant is famous far and wide and is always filled up, booking in advance is highly recommended especially if you want to experience sunset dining.
