There is an offshore reef, which acts as a buffer to waves, so the swimming and snorkeling conditions are usually good. Surfers usually gather outside of the reef area to catch the waves there.

Directions: Coming from Poipu Road, turn onto Hoonani Road and drive it almost to the end. There is a small public parking lot on the right side of the road (opposite from the parking lot of the Sheraton Kauai Resort). From here, follow the paved pathway in front of the Sheraton, which leads to the beach.
