Flavors of Honolulu

Flavors of Honolulu is Oahu’s largest and premiere food and family event. Here you can sample a variety of foods from popular Oahu restaurants. Try delicacies such as seared Kona kompachi, Belgian waffles, mango cheesecake, Egyptian-style rack of lamb and many others. Participating restaurants include Hilton’s Bali by the Sea and Village Steak & Seafood, India Café, Senor Frog’s and Ichiriki Japanese Nabe Restaurant and La Crepe Café among others. Besides great food, there is entertainment and family games.

Date: June 27-29, 2008
Location: Honolulu Civic Center Grounds, 650 S. King St., Honolulu, HI 96813 (across from the Mission Houses Museum)
Time: Friday, June 27, from 5:00 pm to10:00 pm; Saturday, June 28, from 12:00 noon to 10:00 pm; Sunday, June 29, from 12:00 noon to 6:00pm


Honolulu Pride Festival

A three-day event to bring together the community of Honolulu in a celebration of LGBTQ pride.

Thursday, June 26, 2008: Mr., Miss, and Ms. Gay Pride 2008 at the Fusion Waikiki at 6 pm.

Friday, June 27, 2008: The Ohana Gathering, McCoy Pavilion, from 5:30 pm to 8 pm. A luau-style backyard barbecue dinner with local food and live entertainment. A gathering of the community.

Saturday, June 28, 2008: Annual LGBTQ Pride Parade, Ala Moana/Waikiki, at 9 am. Parade begins at Magic Island and proceeds through Waikiki and ends in Kapiolani Park.

Saturday, June 28, 2008: Annual LGBTQ Pride Festival, McCoy Pavilion, starting at 11:30 am. Bring your whole ohana (family) for a day of food, fun and entertainment. This is an event for people of all ages.

There will be fun things to do for even the little ones.
