Hi Guys,
I'm hoping that you might be able to help me. I am about to book my honeymoon for next year and plan to go to Hawaii for a week - staying in Waikiki I think. At the minute I am trying to decide whether to stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village or the Moana Surfrider. Moana is almost $400 more expensive - is it worth it. Based on your expert opinions which would you recommend (or alternatives?!) Thanks |

RE: Oahu Honeymoon
Aloha, they are both good but the Moana Surfrider is a little more classy and upscale. It is the oldest hotel in Waikiki and it is not a high rise. Most other hotels are high rises. The Hilton Hawaiian Village has larger grounds, with many bars, shops and restaurants. Also, it is located on a wider stretch of Waikiki Beach. But even if you stay at the Surfrider, you can explore the other hotel grounds as well, including the Hilton Hawaiian Village. So basically it comes down to which hotel room you like better. You can see current rates for all major Oahu hotels here http://www.alohahawaiihotels.com/oahu.html.
