Heavenly Hana Retreat
When the boss announced that we were going to be taking a Maui vacation, we were all excited. We knew were going to go to Maui, and had looked at a lot of Maui hotels, but when she announced that this would be a retreat, we were kind of disappointed. We all had in mind things we wanted to do, so when we got the link for Heavenly Hana, we weren’t sure what to think.
I was planning on golfing most mornings, so I was upset, too. But I didn’t let on. After all, this was an all expense paid trip, and I wasn’t going to complain too much about it. Maybe I would get to golf, I thought.
We arrived, and the grounds and accommodations were very nice. There was even a tent for those who wanted outdoor sleeping. I did not.
All of us learned how to chart our Life-Map, and to understand the meanings of the various events and images in our lives.
Some of us took a walk with a teacher who showed us the different herbal plants and their healing qualities. I must say that after a few days I decided I didn’t need the aggravation of trying to keep my golf game up.
Most of us agreed that the time we spent at Heavenly Hana helped us to determine where we were in our lives. Some wanted to still just go to their favorite Maui hotel and play at the pool, but others thought this was the best Maui vacation they had ever taken.
Me? I came back, and based on the things I learned on my Life-Map and the time I had for meditation, quit my job, sold my house and moved to a place in the country.
