The beach was great, and that’s all we really wanted for this Maui vacation. We walked it every morning, and sometimes in the evening. This was great and convenient. Our room was one of the newer ones, one that they had remodeled. For a Maui condo and even for a typical Maui hotel, we thought we were paying a fair price. I’m not too picky about the rooms, but Kim is. She thought the rooms could have been cleaner.
We spent a lot of time at the water, snorkeling and swimming and just getting a tan. Then we would wander over for happy hour. The drinks were good, no skimping on the booze.
The location of the Mana Kai is good. It’s central on the island, so you aren’t too far from anything. We did Lahania for a day, ate lunch, hung around, then came back and took a nap. Our air condition was really good, and when we woke up we thought we were not on a Maui vacation or trip, but in the Arctic or something.
This was a pretty good deal for the money. We got extras, like water sports equipment for nothing, unlike the typical Maui hotel, which might charge you. If you have a large family group going, you can get the whole unit, and have plenty of space, with a lanai between you.
For a Maui condo, this was fancier than some, but as I said, we didn’t come for the rooms or amenities this time, just for the beach and a chance to relax.
